他回悟過來，就說：「我父親有多少雇工，食物充足有餘，我倒在這裏因饑餓而喪命啊？

可是他醒悟過來的時候，就說：『我父親那麼多的雇工都食物充足，我卻要在這裡餓死嗎？

既而悟曰、我父若許傭人、其糧有餘、我乃於此飢而死耶、

悔曰、我父若多傭人、其糧有餘、我乃饑而死乎、

既而省悟曰、我父傭人甚多、其糧有餘、而我餓死乎、

因自反曰：「父家多少傭工、皆得飽食而有餘、而吾將為他鄉之餓殍矣、

“ Then he began to think clearly again. He said,‘ How many of my father’s hired servants have more than enough food! But here I am dying from hunger!

“ But when he came to himself, he said,‘ How many of my father’s hired servants have more than enough bread, but I perish here with hunger!

“ When he finally came to his senses, he said to himself,‘ At home even the hired servants have food enough to spare, and here I am dying of hunger!

“ But when he came to himself, he said,‘ How many of my father’s hired servants have bread enough and to spare, and I perish with hunger!

He will certainly live because he thought it over and turned from all the transgressions he had committed; he will not die.

But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love that He had for us,made us alive with the Messiah even though we were dead in trespasses. You are saved by grace!

for what makes everything clear is light. Therefore it is said: Get up, sleeper, and rise up from the dead, and the Messiah will shine on you.

I’ll get up, go to my father, and say to him, Father, I have sinned against heaven and in your sight.I’m no longer worthy to be called your son. Make me like one of your hired hands.’

In all the synagogues I often tried to make them blaspheme by punishing them. I even pursued them to foreign cities since I was greatly enraged at them.“ I was traveling to Damascus under these circumstances with authority and a commission from the chief priests.King Agrippa, while on the road at midday, I saw a light from heaven brighter than the sun, shining around me and those traveling with me.We all fell to the ground, and I heard a voice speaking to me in the Hebrew language,‘ Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting Me? It is hard for you to kick against the goads.’“ Then I said,‘ Who are You, Lord?’“ And the Lord replied:‘ I am Jesus, the One you are persecuting.But get up and stand on your feet. For I have appeared to you for this purpose, to appoint you as a servant and a witness of what you have seen and of what I will reveal to you.I will rescue you from the people and from the Gentiles. I now send you to themto open their eyes so they may turn from darkness to light and from the power of Satan to God, that by faith in Me they may receive forgiveness of sins and a share among those who are sanctified.’“ Therefore, King Agrippa, I was not disobedient to the heavenly vision.

Then the jailer called for lights, rushed in, and fell down trembling before Paul and Silas.Then he escorted them out and said,“ Sirs, what must I do to be saved?”

But when the kindness of God our Savior and His love for mankind appeared,He saved us— not by works of righteousness that we had done, but according to His mercy— through the washing of regeneration and renewal by the Holy Spirit.He poured out this Spirit on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Savior,

Then people went out to see what had happened. They came to Jesus and found the man the demons had departed from, sitting at Jesus’ feet, dressed and in his right mind. And they were afraid.

When they heard this, they came under deep conviction and said to Peter and the rest of the apostles:“ Brothers, what must we do?”

Like one waking from a dream, Lord, when arising, You will despise their image.

And being in torment in Hades, he looked up and saw Abraham a long way off, with Lazarus at his side.

During the days of her affliction and homelessness Jerusalem remembers all her precious belongings that were hers in days of old. When her people fell into the adversary’s hand, she had no one to help. The adversaries looked at her, laughing over her downfall.

This is an evil in all that is done under the sun: there is one fate for everyone. In addition, the hearts of people are full of evil, and madness is in their hearts while they live— after that they go to the dead.

After I returned, I repented; After I was instructed, I struck my thigh in grief. I was ashamed and humiliated because I bore the disgrace of my youth.”

Don’t be deceived, my dearly loved brothers.Every generous act and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights; with Him there is no variation or shadow cast by turning.By His own choice, He gave us a new birth by the message of truth so that we would be the firstfruits of His creatures.
