“ Salt is good for seasoning. But if it loses its flavor, how do you make it salty again?

「因此鹽是好的，但如果連鹽也失去了味道，還能用什麼來調味呢？

夫鹽善矣、第鹽失其味、將何以調之、

夫鹽美矣、若鹽失其鹹、

夫鹽、善也；鹽失其味、更將何以復之？

“ Salt is good, but if it loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again?

“ Salt is good. But suppose it loses its saltiness. How can it be made salty again?

“ Salt is good, but if salt has lost its taste, how shall its saltiness be restored?

“ Now, salt is good, but if salt should lose its taste, how will it be made salty?

“ Therefore, salt is good; but if even salt has become tasteless, with what will it be seasoned?

“ Salt is good; but if the salt has lost its flavor, how shall it be seasoned?

Salt therefore is good: but if even the salt have lost its savor, wherewith shall it be seasoned?

“ Now, salt is good, but if salt should lose its taste, how will it be made salty?

Salt[ is] good: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be seasoned?

“ Salt is good, but if salt loses its flavor, how can its flavor be restored?

Salt is good, but if the salt becomes flat and tasteless, with what do you season it?

“ You are the salt of the earth. But what good is salt if it has lost its flavor? Can you make it salty again? It will be thrown out and trampled underfoot as worthless.

Let your conversation be gracious and attractive so that you will have the right response for everyone.

“ For everyone will be tested with fire.Salt is good for seasoning. But if it loses its flavor, how do you make it salty again? You must have the qualities of salt among yourselves and live in peace with each other.”

And God confirmed the message by giving signs and wonders and various miracles and gifts of the Holy Spirit whenever he chose.And furthermore, it is not angels who will control the future world we are talking about.For in one place the Scriptures say,“ What are mere mortals that you should think about them, or a son of man that you should care for him?Yet for a little while you made them a little lower than the angels and crowned them with glory and honor.You gave them authority over all things.” Now when it says“ all things,” it means nothing is left out. But we have not yet seen all things put under their authority.
