In the same way, those of you who do not give up everything you have cannot be my disciples.

In the same way, you must give up everything you have. Those of you who don’t cannot be my disciple.

So therefore, any one of you who does not renounce all that he has cannot be my disciple.

So you cannot become my disciple without giving up everything you own.

In the same way, therefore, every one of you who does not renounce all his possessions cannot be my disciple.

So then, none of you can be My disciple who does not give up all his own possessions.

So likewise, whoever of you does not forsake all that he has cannot be My disciple.

So therefore whosoever he be of you that renounceth not all that he hath, he cannot be my disciple.

In the same way, therefore, every one of you who does not say good-bye to all his possessions cannot be My disciple.

So likewise, whosoever he be of you that forsaketh not all that he hath, he cannot be my disciple.

So therefore whoever of you who doesn’t renounce all that he has, he can’t be my disciple.

But these assets I have come to regard as liabilities because of Christ.More than that, I now regard all things as liabilities compared to the far greater value of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whom I have suffered the loss of all things– indeed, I regard them as dung!– that I may gain Christ,

And he got up and followed him, leaving everything behind.

And Peter said,“ Look, we have left everything we own to follow you!”Then Jesus said to them,“ I tell you the truth, there is no one who has left home or wife or brothers or parents or children for the sake of God’s kingdomwho will not receive many times more in this age– and in the age to come, eternal life.”

So when they had brought their boats to shore, they left everything and followed him.

Now a man named Ananias, together with Sapphira his wife, sold a piece of property.He kept back for himself part of the proceeds with his wife’s knowledge; he brought only part of it and placed it at the apostles’ feet.But Peter said,“ Ananias, why has Satan filled your heart to lie to the Holy Spirit and keep back for yourself part of the proceeds from the sale of the land?Before it was sold, did it not belong to you? And when it was sold, was the money not at your disposal? How have you thought up this deed in your heart? You have not lied to people but to God!”When Ananias heard these words he collapsed and died, and great fear gripped all who heard about it.

saying,“ Give me this power too, so that everyone I place my hands on may receive the Holy Spirit.”But Peter said to him,“ May your silver perish with you, because you thought you could acquire God’s gift with money!You have no share or part in this matter because your heart is not right before God!Therefore repent of this wickedness of yours, and pray to the Lord that he may perhaps forgive you for the intent of your heart.

For Demas deserted me, since he loved the present age, and he went to Thessalonica. Crescens went to Galatia and Titus to Dalmatia.
