爾先在外理爾事、在田經營農務、然後建室、

耶穌謂之曰、狐狸有穴、空中之鳥有巢、惟人子無枕首之所也、

保羅曰、爾何為哭而摧我心、我敢為主耶穌之名、不第受縛、即死於耶路撒冷亦可、

我儕偕爾時、預言我儕必將受難、後果如是、此爾所知也、故我不能忍、復遣人欲知爾之信、恐試者惑爾、而我儕之勞徒然、

耶穌曰、爾所求者爾不知也、我將飲之杯、爾能飲乎、我將受之洗、爾能受乎、曰、能、耶穌曰、我所飲之杯、爾將飲之、我所受之洗、爾將受之、但坐我左我右、非我可賜、我父為誰而備、則賜誰也、

蓋我尚在此幕之時、勸勉爾、使爾憶此諸事、我以為宜然也、因知我幕將速撤、如我主耶穌基督示我者、

又曰、我儕當建城與臺、臺頂高及天、藉以揚我名、以免散於天下、主降臨、欲觀世人所建之城與臺、主曰、是眾為一民、言語亦一、今既有此作為、後凡所欲為、無有不成、我儕降臨、淆其言語、使彼此不通、主遂由彼散之遍地、於是人不再建此城、因天主在彼淆天下人之言語、而散之遍地、故名其邑曰巴別、巴別譯即混亂之義○
