耶穌曰、爾曹所求者、爾不知也、我將飲之杯、爾能飲乎、曰、能、曰我之杯、爾必飲之、但坐我左右、非我得予、我父為誰備之、則誰予、

我尚在此幕時、勉爾記憶、宜也、蓋知去我幕之日速矣、一如我主耶穌基督所示我者、

又曰、我其築城與臺、臺頂及天、以揚我名、庶免散於四方、耶和華臨格、欲觀世人所築之城與臺、曰、斯民為一、言語亦同、今興是役、後之所謀、末由遏止、我儕臨格、淆其言語、使彼此不通、於是耶和華散之四方、遂罷築城之役、其城名曰巴別、因耶和華在彼淆億兆之言語、散之四方故也、○
