And the slave came back and reported this to his master. Then the head of the household became angry and said to his slave,‘ Go out at once into the streets and lanes of the city and bring in here those who are poor, those with disabilities, those who are blind, and those who are limping.’

And the servant came, and told his lord these things. Then the master of the house being angry said to his servant, Go out quickly into the streets and lanes of the city, and bring in hither the poor and maimed and blind and lame.

“ So the slave came back and reported these things to his master. Then in anger, the master of the house told his slave,‘ Go out quickly into the streets and alleys of the city, and bring in here the poor, maimed, blind, and lame!’

So the slave came back and reported this to his master. Then the master of the household was furious and said to his slave,‘ Go out quickly to the streets and alleys of the city, and bring in the poor, the crippled, the blind, and the lame.’

“ That servant came, and told his lord these things. Then the master of the house, being angry, said to his servant,‘ Go out quickly into the streets and lanes of the city, and bring in the poor, maimed, blind, and lame.’

But when you give a feast, invite the poor, the maimed, the lame, the blind.

Listen, my beloved brethren: Has God not chosen the poor of this world to be rich in faith and heirs of the kingdom which He promised to those who love Him?

The blind see and the lame walk; the lepers are cleansed and the deaf hear; the dead are raised up and the poor have the gospel preached to them.

Then the lame shall leap like a deer, And the tongue of the dumb sing. For waters shall burst forth in the wilderness, And streams in the desert.

For I say to you that none of those men who were invited shall taste my supper.’”

how shall we escape if we neglect so great a salvation, which at the first began to be spoken by the Lord, and was confirmed to us by those who heard Him,

Jesus answered and said to them,“ Go and tell John the things you have seen and heard: that the blind see, the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, the deaf hear, the dead are raised, the poor have the gospel preached to them.And blessed is he who is not offended because of Me.”

He raises the poor out of the dust, And lifts the needy out of the ash heap,That He may seat him with princes— With the princes of His people.

And Jesus said,“ For judgment I have come into this world, that those who do not see may see, and that those who see may be made blind.”

Then I saw another sign in heaven, great and marvelous: seven angels having the seven last plagues, for in them the wrath of God is complete.And I saw something like a sea of glass mingled with fire, and those who have the victory over the beast, over his image and over his mark and over the number of his name, standing on the sea of glass, having harps of God.They sing the song of Moses, the servant of God, and the song of the Lamb, saying:“ Great and marvelous are Your works, Lord God Almighty! Just and true are Your ways, O King of the saints!Who shall not fear You, O Lord, and glorify Your name? For You alone are holy. For all nations shall come and worship before You, For Your judgments have been manifested.”After these things I looked, and behold, the temple of the tabernacle of the testimony in heaven was opened.And out of the temple came the seven angels having the seven plagues, clothed in pure bright linen, and having their chests girded with golden bands.Then one of the four living creatures gave to the seven angels seven golden bowls full of the wrath of God who lives forever and ever.The temple was filled with smoke from the glory of God and from His power, and no one was able to enter the temple till the seven plagues of the seven angels were completed.

Your tackle is loosed, They could not strengthen their mast, They could not spread the sail. Then the prey of great plunder is divided; The lame take the prey.

See that you do not refuse Him who speaks. For if they did not escape who refused Him who spoke on earth, much more shall we not escape if we turn away from Him who speaks from heaven,whose voice then shook the earth; but now He has promised, saying,“ Yet once more I shake not only the earth, but also heaven.”

Wisdom calls aloud outside; She raises her voice in the open squares.She cries out in the chief concourses, At the openings of the gates in the city She speaks her words:“ How long, you simple ones, will you love simplicity? For scorners delight in their scorning, And fools hate knowledge.Turn at my rebuke; Surely I will pour out my spirit on you; I will make my words known to you.Because I have called and you refused, I have stretched out my hand and no one regarded,Because you disdained all my counsel, And would have none of my rebuke,

Obey those who rule over you, and be submissive, for they watch out for your souls, as those who must give account. Let them do so with joy and not with grief, for that would be unprofitable for you.

Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.

Therefore those who were scattered went everywhere preaching the word.Then Philip went down to the city of Samaria and preached Christ to them.And the multitudes with one accord heeded the things spoken by Philip, hearing and seeing the miracles which he did.For unclean spirits, crying with a loud voice, came out of many who were possessed; and many who were paralyzed and lame were healed.

and that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in His name to all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.

And many of the Samaritans of that city believed in Him because of the word of the woman who testified,“ He told me all that I ever did.”So when the Samaritans had come to Him, they urged Him to stay with them; and He stayed there two days.And many more believed because of His own word.Then they said to the woman,“ Now we believe, not because of what you said, for we ourselves have heard Him and we know that this is indeed the Christ, the Savior of the world.”

Now out of His mouth goes a sharp sword, that with it He should strike the nations. And He Himself will rule them with a rod of iron. He Himself treads the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God.

Then the Pharisees answered them,“ Are you also deceived?Have any of the rulers or the Pharisees believed in Him?But this crowd that does not know the law is accursed.”

And the Spirit and the bride say,“ Come!” And let him who hears say,“ Come!” And let him who thirsts come. Whoever desires, let him take the water of life freely.

And the apostles, when they had returned, told Him all that they had done. Then He took them and went aside privately into a deserted place belonging to the city called Bethsaida.

She takes her stand on the top of the high hill, Beside the way, where the paths meet.She cries out by the gates, at the entry of the city, At the entrance of the doors:“ To you, O men, I call, And my voice is to the sons of men.

So it was broken on that day. Thus the poor of the flock, who were watching me, knew that it was the word of the Lord.

So David’s young men turned on their heels and went back; and they came and told him all these words.

So when his fellow servants saw what had been done, they were very grieved, and came and told their master all that had been done.

Then His disciples came and said to Him,“ Do You know that the Pharisees were offended when they heard this saying?”

“ Run to and fro through the streets of Jerusalem; See now and know; And seek in her open places If you can find a man, If there is anyone who executes judgment, Who seeks the truth, And I will pardon her.

So I fed the flock for slaughter, in particular the poor of the flock. I took for myself two staffs: the one I called Beauty, and the other I called Bonds; and I fed the flock.

She has sent out her maidens, She cries out from the highest places of the city,“ Whoever is simple, let him turn in here!” As for him who lacks understanding, she says to him,

Kiss the Son, lest He be angry, And you perish in the way, When His wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed are all those who put their trust in Him.

For my loins are full of inflammation, And there is no soundness in my flesh.
