And another said, I have married a wife, and therefore I cannot come.

又一人曰：「予方新婚、不克赴筵。」

“ Still another said,‘ I just got married, so I can’t come.’

When a man hath taken a new wife, he shall not go out to war, neither shall he be charged with any business:[ but] he shall be free at home one year, and shall cheer up his wife which he hath taken.

But he that is married careth for the things that are of the world, how he may please[ his] wife.

And he said unto them, Verily I say unto you, There is no man that hath left house, or parents, or brethren, or wife, or children, for the kingdom of God’s sake,Who shall not receive manifold more in this present time, and in the world to come life everlasting.

But this I say, brethren, the time[ is] short: it remaineth, that both they that have wives be as though they had none;And they that weep, as though they wept not; and they that rejoice, as though they rejoiced not; and they that buy, as though they possessed not;And they that use this world, as not abusing[ it]: for the fashion of this world passeth away.

If any[ man] come to me, and hate not his father, and mother, and wife, and children, and brethren, and sisters, yea, and his own life also, he cannot be my disciple.And whosoever doth not bear his cross, and come after me, cannot be my disciple.For which of you, intending to build a tower, sitteth not down first, and counteth the cost, whether he have[ sufficient] to finish[ it]?
