耶穌又對請他的人說：「你準備午飯或晚餐，不要請你的朋友、弟兄、親屬和富足的鄰舍，免得他們回請你，你就得了報答。

又謂請之者曰、爾設午餐、或晚餐、毋招爾朋友、兄弟、親戚、富鄰、恐彼復招爾而受其報也、

又謂請之者曰、爾設午餐或晚餐、勿請朋友、兄弟、親戚、富鄰、恐酬爾而受報也、

又謂請之者曰、爾設午餐、或晚餐、勿請朋友、兄弟、親戚、富鄰、恐彼亦請爾、而爾受其報、

耶穌復告主人曰：『爾設宴時、毋邀良朋昆弟戚屬富鄰、誠恐若輩還禮、則爾獲報矣。

Then Jesus said to his host,“ When you give a luncheon or dinner, do not invite your friends, your brothers or sisters, your relatives, or your rich neighbors; if you do, they may invite you back and so you will be repaid.

Then Jesus spoke to his host.“ Suppose you give a lunch or a dinner,” he said.“ Do not invite your friends, your brothers or sisters, or your relatives, or your rich neighbors. If you do, they may invite you to eat with them. So you will be paid back.

He said also to the man who had invited him,“ When you give a dinner or a banquet, do not invite your friends or your brothers or your relatives or rich neighbors, lest they also invite you in return and you be repaid.

Then he turned to his host.“ When you put on a luncheon or a banquet,” he said,“ don’t invite your friends, brothers, relatives, and rich neighbors. For they will invite you back, and that will be your only reward.

He also said to the one who had invited him,“ When you give a lunch or a dinner, don’t invite your friends, your brothers or sisters, your relatives, or your rich neighbors, because they might invite you back, and you would be repaid.

Now He also went on to say to the one who had invited Him,“ Whenever you give a luncheon or a dinner, do not invite your friends, your brothers, your relatives, nor wealthy neighbors, otherwise they may also invite you to a meal in return, and that will be your repayment.

Then He also said to him who invited Him,“ When you give a dinner or a supper, do not ask your friends, your brothers, your relatives, nor rich neighbors, lest they also invite you back, and you be repaid.

And he said to him also that had bidden him, When thou makest a dinner or a supper, call not thy friends, nor thy brethren, nor thy kinsmen, nor rich neighbors; lest haply they also bid thee again, and a recompense be made thee.

He also said to the one who had invited Him,“ When you give a lunch or a dinner, don’t invite your friends, your brothers, your relatives, or your rich neighbors, because they might invite you back, and you would be repaid.

Then said he also to him that bade him, When thou makest a dinner or a supper, call not thy friends, nor thy brethren, neither thy kinsmen, nor[ thy] rich neighbours; lest they also bid thee again, and a recompence be made thee.

He said also to the man who had invited him,“ When you host a dinner or a banquet, don’t invite your friends or your brothers or your relatives or rich neighbors so you can be invited by them in return and get repaid.

He also said to the one who had invited him,“ When you make a dinner or a supper, don’t call your friends, nor your brothers, nor your kinsmen, nor rich neighbors, or perhaps they might also return the favor, and pay you back.

你們若只愛那愛你們的人，有甚麼賞賜呢？就是稅吏不也是這樣做嗎？

我的弟兄們，你們信奉我們榮耀的主耶穌基督，就不可按着外貌待人。若有一個人戴着金戒指，穿着華麗的衣服，進入你們的會堂，又有一個窮人穿着骯髒的衣服也進去，而你們只看重那穿華麗衣服的人，說：「請坐在這裏」，又對那窮人說：「你站在那裏」，或「坐在我腳凳旁」；這豈不是你們偏心待人，用惡意評斷人嗎？我親愛的弟兄們，請聽，上帝豈不是揀選了世上的貧窮人，使他們在信心上富足，並承受他所應許給那些愛他之人的國嗎？你們卻羞辱貧窮的人。欺壓你們，拉你們到公堂去的，不就是這些富有的人嗎？

欺壓貧寒人為要利己的，並送禮給有錢人的，都必缺乏。

「你們要謹慎，不可故意在人面前表現虔誠，叫他們看見，若是這樣，就不能得你們天父的賞賜了。「所以，你施捨的時候，不可叫人在你前面吹號，像那假冒為善的人在會堂裏和街道上所做的，故意要得人的稱讚。我實在告訴你們，他們已經得了他們的賞賜。你施捨的時候，不要讓左手知道右手所做的，好使你隱祕地施捨；你父在隱祕中察看，必然賞賜你。」

你們若只愛那愛你們的人，有甚麼可感謝的呢？就是罪人也愛那愛他們的人。你們若善待那善待你們的人，有甚麼可感謝的呢？就是罪人也是這樣做。你們若借給人，希望從他收回，有甚麼可感謝的呢？就是罪人也借給罪人，再如數收回。你們倒要愛仇敵，要善待他們，並要借給人不指望償還，你們的賞賜就很多了，你們必作至高者的兒子，因為他恩待那忘恩的和作惡的。你們要仁慈，像你們的父是仁慈的。」

窮乏人，連鄰舍也恨他；有錢人，愛他的人眾多。

「你要向這地全體百姓和祭司說：『你們這七十年來，在五月、七月禁食悲哀，豈是真的向我禁食嗎？你們吃喝，不是為自己吃，為自己喝嗎？當耶路撒冷和四圍的城鎮有人居住，享繁榮，尼革夫和謝非拉也有人居住的時候，耶和華藉從前的先知所宣告的，你們不當聽嗎？』」

他叫飢餓的飽餐美食，叫富足的空手回去。

「你們禁食的時候，不可像那假冒為善的人，臉上帶着愁容；因為他們蓬頭垢面，故意讓人看出他們在禁食。我實在告訴你們，他們已經得了他們的賞賜。你禁食的時候，要梳頭洗臉，不要讓人看出你在禁食，只讓你隱祕中的父看見；你父在隱祕中察看，必然賞賜你。」
