耶穌也對那請他的人說：『你辦午飯或晚飯的時候，不要邀請你的朋友、或弟兄、或親戚、或富足的鄰舍；恐怕他們也回請你，報答你。

耶稣又对请他的人说：“你摆设午饭或晚饭，不要请你的朋友、弟兄、亲属，和富足的邻舍，恐怕他们也请你，你就得了报答。

耶穌復告主人曰：『爾設宴時、毋邀良朋昆弟戚屬富鄰、誠恐若輩還禮、則爾獲報矣。

Then Jesus said to his host,“ When you give a luncheon or dinner, do not invite your friends, your brothers or sisters, your relatives, or your rich neighbors; if you do, they may invite you back and so you will be repaid.

Then Jesus spoke to his host.“ Suppose you give a lunch or a dinner,” he said.“ Do not invite your friends, your brothers or sisters, or your relatives, or your rich neighbors. If you do, they may invite you to eat with them. So you will be paid back.

He said also to the man who had invited him,“ When you give a dinner or a banquet, do not invite your friends or your brothers or your relatives or rich neighbors, lest they also invite you in return and you be repaid.

Then he turned to his host.“ When you put on a luncheon or a banquet,” he said,“ don’t invite your friends, brothers, relatives, and rich neighbors. For they will invite you back, and that will be your only reward.

He also said to the one who had invited him,“ When you give a lunch or a dinner, don’t invite your friends, your brothers or sisters, your relatives, or your rich neighbors, because they might invite you back, and you would be repaid.

Now He also went on to say to the one who had invited Him,“ Whenever you give a luncheon or a dinner, do not invite your friends, your brothers, your relatives, nor wealthy neighbors, otherwise they may also invite you to a meal in return, and that will be your repayment.

Then He also said to him who invited Him,“ When you give a dinner or a supper, do not ask your friends, your brothers, your relatives, nor rich neighbors, lest they also invite you back, and you be repaid.

And he said to him also that had bidden him, When thou makest a dinner or a supper, call not thy friends, nor thy brethren, nor thy kinsmen, nor rich neighbors; lest haply they also bid thee again, and a recompense be made thee.

He also said to the one who had invited Him,“ When you give a lunch or a dinner, don’t invite your friends, your brothers, your relatives, or your rich neighbors, because they might invite you back, and you would be repaid.

Then said he also to him that bade him, When thou makest a dinner or a supper, call not thy friends, nor thy brethren, neither thy kinsmen, nor[ thy] rich neighbours; lest they also bid thee again, and a recompence be made thee.

He said also to the man who had invited him,“ When you host a dinner or a banquet, don’t invite your friends or your brothers or your relatives or rich neighbors so you can be invited by them in return and get repaid.

He also said to the one who had invited him,“ When you make a dinner or a supper, don’t call your friends, nor your brothers, nor your kinsmen, nor rich neighbors, or perhaps they might also return the favor, and pay you back.

你們若愛那愛你們的，有甚麼賞報可得呢？就是收稅人不也是這樣行麼？

我的弟兄們，你們執守我們的主、榮耀之主、耶穌基督的信仰、別以貌取人了。倘若有人帶着金戒指、穿着華麗衣服、進你們的會堂來；又有窮人穿着垢污衣服、也進來。假使你們只顧那披着華麗衣服的，就說，『你請坐在這裏』；又對那窮人說：『你站着』，或是『坐在那裏、在我腳凳下邊』；這豈不是你們心裏有了分別，而以不正的看法鑒定人麼？我親愛的弟兄們請聽，上帝豈不是揀選了世人以為窮的而富於信仰，以承受他所應許給愛他之人的國麼？你們呢、反倒侮辱窮人。豈不是富足人壓制你們，拖你們上法庭麼？

為貧寒人作事的、必增加財利；送禮給富人的、只流於缺乏。

『你們要小心，不可將你們的義舉行在人面前，要給人看；若是這樣，你們就不能從你們天上的父得賞報了。『所以你施捨的時候，不可在你前面吹號筒，像假冒為善的人在會堂和街上所行的，要向人誇耀着。我實在告訴你們，他們已經收到了他們的賞報了。『但是你施捨的時候，不要讓你的左手知道你右手所作的，好叫你的施捨可以在隱祕中；你父在隱祕中察看的，必報給你。

『你們若愛那些愛你們的，有甚麼可酬謝的？就是「罪人」也愛那些愛他們的呀。你們若善待那些善待你們的，有甚麼可酬謝的？就是「罪人」也這樣行啊。你們若借錢給人，指望能從他們收還，有甚麼可酬謝的？就是「罪人」也借錢給「罪人」要收回相等的呀。不，你們要愛你們的仇敵，善待他們；要借給他們，絕不期望甚麼。那麼你們的賞報就大了，你們就做了至高者的兒子了；因為他待忘恩負義和邪惡的人都有慈惠。你們要有憐憫的心，正像你們的父有憐憫的心一樣。

窮乏人連鄰舍也厭惡他；富足人、則許多人愛他。

『你要告訴國中的眾民和祭司說：你們這七十年在五月間和七月間禁食和舉哀，哪裏真是向我而禁食呢？你們喫，你們喝，豈不是你們自己喫，自己喝呢？當耶路撒冷和它四圍的城市都有人居住、而且優遊興盛，南地和低原也都有人居住時，永恆主的話、由從前的神言人經手宣告的、你們不應當聽麼？』

饑餓的、他用美物滿足他們，富足的、他送他們空手走出去。

你們禁食的時候、別像假冒為善的人帶着愁容了，因為他們把臉顯得難看，好對人顯出他們在禁食；我實在告訴你們，他們已經收到了他們的賞報了。但是你禁食的時候、要用油抹頭，要洗臉，免得對人顯出你在禁食，你乃是只對着你隱祕中的父；你父在隱祕中察看的、必報給你。
