耶穌又對主人說：「擺設午宴、晚宴時，不要邀請你的朋友、弟兄、親戚或有錢的鄰居，免得他們回請你，你便得到報答了。

耶稣又对请他的人说：“你摆设午饭或晚饭，不要请你的朋友、弟兄、亲属，和富足的邻舍，恐怕他们也请你，你就得了报答。

又謂請之者曰、爾設午餐、或晚餐、毋招爾朋友、兄弟、親戚、富鄰、恐彼復招爾而受其報也、

又謂請之者曰、爾設午餐或晚餐、勿請朋友、兄弟、親戚、富鄰、恐酬爾而受報也、

耶穌復告主人曰：『爾設宴時、毋邀良朋昆弟戚屬富鄰、誠恐若輩還禮、則爾獲報矣。

Then Jesus said to his host,“ When you give a luncheon or dinner, do not invite your friends, your brothers or sisters, your relatives, or your rich neighbors; if you do, they may invite you back and so you will be repaid.

Then Jesus spoke to his host.“ Suppose you give a lunch or a dinner,” he said.“ Do not invite your friends, your brothers or sisters, or your relatives, or your rich neighbors. If you do, they may invite you to eat with them. So you will be paid back.

He said also to the man who had invited him,“ When you give a dinner or a banquet, do not invite your friends or your brothers or your relatives or rich neighbors, lest they also invite you in return and you be repaid.

Then he turned to his host.“ When you put on a luncheon or a banquet,” he said,“ don’t invite your friends, brothers, relatives, and rich neighbors. For they will invite you back, and that will be your only reward.

He also said to the one who had invited him,“ When you give a lunch or a dinner, don’t invite your friends, your brothers or sisters, your relatives, or your rich neighbors, because they might invite you back, and you would be repaid.

Now He also went on to say to the one who had invited Him,“ Whenever you give a luncheon or a dinner, do not invite your friends, your brothers, your relatives, nor wealthy neighbors, otherwise they may also invite you to a meal in return, and that will be your repayment.

Then He also said to him who invited Him,“ When you give a dinner or a supper, do not ask your friends, your brothers, your relatives, nor rich neighbors, lest they also invite you back, and you be repaid.

And he said to him also that had bidden him, When thou makest a dinner or a supper, call not thy friends, nor thy brethren, nor thy kinsmen, nor rich neighbors; lest haply they also bid thee again, and a recompense be made thee.

He also said to the one who had invited Him,“ When you give a lunch or a dinner, don’t invite your friends, your brothers, your relatives, or your rich neighbors, because they might invite you back, and you would be repaid.

Then said he also to him that bade him, When thou makest a dinner or a supper, call not thy friends, nor thy brethren, neither thy kinsmen, nor[ thy] rich neighbours; lest they also bid thee again, and a recompence be made thee.

He said also to the man who had invited him,“ When you host a dinner or a banquet, don’t invite your friends or your brothers or your relatives or rich neighbors so you can be invited by them in return and get repaid.

He also said to the one who had invited him,“ When you make a dinner or a supper, don’t call your friends, nor your brothers, nor your kinsmen, nor rich neighbors, or perhaps they might also return the favor, and pay you back.

如果你們只愛那些愛你們的人，有什麼值得嘉獎的呢？就是稅吏也會這樣做。

我的弟兄姊妹，你們既然信了我們榮耀的主耶穌基督，就不可以貌取人。比方說，一個手戴金飾、衣著華麗的人來參加你們的聚會，一個衣衫襤褸的人也來參加，你們就看重那衣著華麗的，對他說：「請上座。」卻對那窮人說：「你站在那邊。」或「坐在我的腳凳邊。」你們這樣做難道不是偏心待人，心懷惡意地判斷人嗎？我親愛的弟兄姊妹，請聽我說，上帝不是揀選了窮人，使他們在信心上富足，並承受祂應許賜給那些愛祂之人的國度嗎？你們反倒侮辱窮人。其實欺壓你們、抓你們上法庭的不是那些富人嗎？

靠壓榨窮人斂財和送禮給富人的，都必窮困潦倒。

「你們要小心，行善的時候不可張揚，故意叫人看見，否則就不能得你們天父的賞賜了。「因此，賙濟窮人的時候，不要大吹大擂，像那些偽君子在會堂和街市上所行的一樣，以博取人們的讚賞。我實在告訴你們，他們得到的賞賜僅此而已。你們賙濟窮人的時候，右手所做的別叫左手知道，要不聲不響地去做。這樣，鑒察隱祕事的天父必賞賜你們。

如果你們只愛那些愛你們的人，有什麼功勞呢？就是罪人也會這樣做。如果你們只善待那些善待你們的人，有什麼功勞呢？就是罪人也會這樣做。如果你們借錢給人，指望收回，有什麼功勞呢？即使罪人也會借貸給罪人，日後再如數收回。「然而，要愛你們的仇敵，善待他們；無論借出什麼，都不要指望歸還。這樣，你們將有大賞賜，並且將成為至高者的兒子，因為祂以恩慈待那些忘恩負義和作惡的人。你們要憐憫人，像你們的天父憐憫人一樣。

窮人遭鄰舍厭，富人朋友眾多。

「你要對境內的民眾和祭司說，『七十年來，你們在五月和七月禁食、哀傷，難道真的是為了我嗎？你們吃喝，難道不是為自己吃、為自己喝嗎？這些不是耶和華藉從前的先知所宣告的嗎？當時耶路撒冷和周圍的城邑人口興盛、繁榮，南地和丘陵都有人居住。』」

祂使饑餓的得飽足，叫富足的空手而去。

「你們禁食的時候，不要像偽君子那樣愁眉苦臉，因為他們故意蓬頭垢面，好讓別人知道他們在禁食。我實在告訴你們，他們得到的賞賜不過是人的讚賞。你禁食的時候要梳頭洗臉，不叫人們看出你在禁食，只讓你肉眼看不見的父知道，鑒察隱祕事的父必賞賜你。
