“ O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, the one who kills the prophets and stones those who are sent to her! How often I wanted to gather your children together, as a hen gathers her brood under her wings, but you were not willing!

O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, that killeth the prophets, and stoneth them that are sent unto her! how often would I have gathered thy children together, even as a hen gathereth her own brood under her wings, and ye would not!

有哪一位先知，你们的祖先不逼迫呢？他们杀了那些预言那义者要来的先知，现在你们又成为那义者的出卖者和凶手了。

“耶路撒冷啊，耶路撒冷！这城杀害先知们，又用石头砸死被差到她这里的人！我多次想聚集你的儿女，像母鸡把自己的小鸡聚集在翅膀下，可是你们不愿意！看哪，你们的家要被废弃成为荒场。我告诉你们：今后你们绝不会再见到我了，直到你们说：‘奉主名而来的那一位，是蒙祝福的。’”

耶稣快到耶路撒冷的时候，看见那城，就为她哭泣，说：“巴不得你在这日子里明白关乎你和平的事，但如今这事在你眼前被隐藏了。

而且，他们要将你和你里面的儿女猛摔在地，不容你里面有一块石头留在另一块石头上，因为你没有认出神临到你的时候。”

以色列的圣者主耶和华如此说：“你们得救在于悔改和安息，你们得力在于平静和信靠。”你们却不肯接受，

耶稣转过身来，对她们说：“耶路撒冷的女儿啊，不要为我哭，而要为你们自己、为你们的儿女哭！

愿耶和华回报你的作为！愿你的酬报充充足足来自耶和华——你来投靠其翅膀底下的以色列的神！”

这夏甲是指着阿拉伯的西奈山，相当于现在的耶路撒冷，因为耶路撒冷和她的儿女都是为奴的。但那在上面的耶路撒冷是自由女人；她是我们的母亲。

“大儿子发怒，不肯进去，他父亲就出来劝他。

他们的尸体会被抛在大城的街道上。这大城按属灵的意思叫做所多玛，又叫做埃及，也就是他们的主被钉十字架的地方。

他必用自己的羽翼遮盖你，你要投靠在他的翅膀底下；他的信实是盾牌和壁垒。

为什么我来的时候，没有人在呢？为什么我呼唤的时候，没有人回应呢？难道我的手臂太短不能救赎吗？难道我没有能力解救吗？看哪！我发出斥责，使海洋干涸，使河流成为旷野；其中的鱼因无水而发臭，因干渴而死去。

神哪，求你恩待我、恩待我，因为我的心投靠你！我投靠在你翅膀的荫庇下，直到祸患过去。

但愿我的子民肯听从我，以色列肯走我的道路，

扫罗也赞同杀害司提反。从那一天开始，有大逼迫临到耶路撒冷的教会。除了使徒以外，他们都分散到犹太和撒马利亚地区。

他们用石头砸司提反的时候，司提反向主呼求，说：“主耶稣，求你接受我的灵魂！”

但那些农夫抓住他的奴仆，打了一个，杀了一个，还用石头砸死一个。主人又派别的奴仆去，比先前的更多，那些农夫也照样对待他们。

其余的竟抓住王的奴仆们，凌辱他们，并且把他们杀了。

你们拒绝了神圣、公义的那一位，而要求释放一个杀人犯给你们。你们杀害了生命的创始者，神却使他从死人中复活了！我们就是这事的见证人。

愿以色列因造他的主而欢喜，愿锡安的儿女因他们的王而快乐！

你的救赎主，以色列的圣者耶和华如此说：“我是耶和华你的神，我教导你得益处，使你踏上当行的路。但愿你一向听从我的命令，你的平安就会如江河，你的公义就会如海涛，你的后裔也会多如沙粒，你腹中所生的会多如细沙；他们的名号在我面前不会被剪除，也不会被除灭。”

既然我呼唤了，你们拒绝，我伸出了手，没有人留心，你们忽视了我一切的劝告，也没有接受我的责备；那么，你们遭难时，我就讥笑；你们的恐惧临到时，我就嘲笑——那时，恐惧像风暴那样临到，灾难像旋风那样来临，患难和困苦临到你们身上。那时，他们将呼求我，我却不回应；他们将切切寻找我，却找不到。正是因为他们恨恶知识，没有选择敬畏耶和华，没有接受我的劝告，藐视了我一切的责备，

他派了奴仆们去叫那些被邀请的人前来赴宴，可是他们不肯来。

神哪，你的慈爱多么宝贵，世人投靠在你翅膀的荫庇下！

我是耶和华你的神，是把你从埃及地带上来的那一位。你要张大你的口，让我填满它。然而我的子民不听我的声音，以色列不愿意顺从我。

求你保守我，如同保守眼中的瞳人，把我隐藏在你翅膀的荫庇下，
