“ Lord,” someone asked Him,“ are there few being saved?” He said to them,

Then said one unto him, Lord, are there few that be saved? And he said unto them,

Someone asked him,“ Lord, will only a few be saved?” So he said to them,

One said to him,“ Lord, are they few who are saved?” He said to them,

But the gateway to life is very narrow and the road is difficult, and only a few ever find it.

Peter asked Jesus,“ What about him, Lord?”Jesus replied,“ If I want him to remain alive until I return, what is that to you? As for you, follow me.”

Later, Jesus sat on the Mount of Olives. His disciples came to him privately and said,“ Tell us, when will all this happen? What sign will signal your return and the end of the world?”Jesus told them,“ Don’t let anyone mislead you,for many will come in my name, claiming,‘ I am the Messiah.’ They will deceive many.

“ For many are called, but few are chosen.”

“ Teacher,” they asked,“ when will all this happen? What sign will show us that these things are about to take place?”He replied,“ Don’t let anyone mislead you, for many will come in my name, claiming,‘ I am the Messiah,’ and saying,‘ The time has come!’ But don’t believe them.

Then someone called from the crowd,“ Teacher, please tell my brother to divide our father’s estate with me.”Jesus replied,“ Friend, who made me a judge over you to decide such things as that?”Then he said,“ Beware! Guard against every kind of greed. Life is not measured by how much you own.”

“ So those who are last now will be first then, and those who are first will be last.”

He replied,“ The Father alone has the authority to set those dates and times, and they are not for you to know.But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you. And you will be my witnesses, telling people about me everywhere— in Jerusalem, throughout Judea, in Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”

“ Tell us, when will all this happen? What sign will show us that these things are about to be fulfilled?”Jesus replied,“ Don’t let anyone mislead you,

The disciples were astounded.“ Then who in the world can be saved?” they asked.
