不過要以溫柔、敬畏的心答覆，並且持守無愧的良心，以致誰詆毀你們在基督裡的良好品行，誰就要在你們受到誹謗的事上蒙羞。

我必使他的仇敵披上恥辱；而他的冠冕必在他頭上發光。」

願那些尋索要除掉我性命的，一同抱愧蒙羞；願那些喜歡我遭害的，後退受辱。

願那些控告我的人穿上羞愧，披戴恥辱如同披戴外袍。

他們對這些話不能答辯。

從此他們再也不敢質問他什麼了。

人論到我，就說：『公義、能力唯獨在於耶和華！』」人必來到他那裡；所有對他發怒的，都必蒙羞。

耶穌已經快到橄欖山的下坡附近的時候，全體門徒為了他們所看見的一切神蹟，開始歡樂起來，大聲讚美神，說：「奉主名而來的那位君王，是蒙祝福的！在天上有和平，在至高之處有榮耀！」人群中有一些法利賽人對耶穌說：「老師，責備你的門徒吧！」耶穌回答說：「我告訴你們：這些人如果不做聲，石頭都會呼喊起來！」

當耶穌呼喚拉撒路從墳墓中出來，使他從死人中復活的時候，那些與耶穌在一起的眾人就見證了這件事。眾人之所以也去迎接他，是因為他們聽說他行了這神蹟。

他的作為有尊榮、有威嚴，他的公義存留到永遠。

官長們又威嚇他們一番，為了民眾的緣故把他們釋放了。官長們找不出任何理由來懲罰他們，因為眾人都為所發生的事不住地榮耀神。

可是他們不知道怎樣下手，因為民眾都傾心聽他。

然而，他們不能再進一步了，因為他們的無知會在眾人面前顯露出來，就像那兩個人一樣。

全體民眾都看見他邊走邊讚美神，認出他是坐在聖殿的美門口乞討的那個人，就對發生在他身上的事滿心希奇、驚訝。那個人緊拉著彼得和約翰的時候，全體民眾都一起跑向他們，到叫做「所羅門」的柱廊那裡，滿心驚奇。

他立刻重見光明，於是跟隨耶穌，一路上榮耀神。民眾都看到了，就讚美神。

到那日，耶和華的苗裔必華美榮耀，那地的果實必成為以色列幸存者的誇耀和光榮。
