耶稣已经快到橄榄山的下坡附近的时候，全体门徒为了他们所看见的一切神迹，开始欢乐起来，大声赞美神，说：“奉主名而来的那位君王，是蒙祝福的！在天上有和平，在至高之处有荣耀！”人群中有一些法利赛人对耶稣说：“老师，责备你的门徒吧！”耶稣回答说：“我告诉你们：这些人如果不做声，石头都会呼喊起来！”

当耶稣呼唤拉撒路从坟墓中出来，使他从死人中复活的时候，那些与耶稣在一起的众人就见证了这件事。众人之所以也去迎接他，是因为他们听说他行了这神迹。

他的作为有尊荣、有威严，他的公义存留到永远。

官长们又威吓他们一番，为了民众的缘故把他们释放了。官长们找不出任何理由来惩罚他们，因为众人都为所发生的事不住地荣耀神。

可是他们不知道怎样下手，因为民众都倾心听他。

然而，他们不能再进一步了，因为他们的无知会在众人面前显露出来，就像那两个人一样。

全体民众都看见他边走边赞美神，认出他是坐在圣殿的美门口乞讨的那个人，就对发生在他身上的事满心希奇、惊讶。那个人紧拉着彼得和约翰的时候，全体民众都一起跑向他们，到叫做“所罗门”的柱廊那里，满心惊奇。

他立刻重见光明，于是跟随耶稣，一路上荣耀神。民众都看到了，就赞美神。

到那日，耶和华的苗裔必华美荣耀，那地的果实必成为以色列幸存者的夸耀和光荣。
