反对祂的人听了这番话后，都非常羞愧，众人却为耶稣的奇妙作为高兴欢喜。

耶和华啊，万神之中，谁能像你？谁能像你——威严神圣，可颂可畏，广行神迹？

愿谋取我性命的人蒙羞受辱！愿喜欢我被害的人狼狈逃窜！

愿诬告我的人满面羞辱，无地自容。

他们都哑口无言。

此后，再没有人敢问耶稣问题了。

他们必说，‘只有耶和华那里才有公义和能力。’”向祂发怒的必在祂面前蒙羞。

祂正走下橄榄山，将近耶路撒冷的时候，众门徒因为以往所见的神迹奇事，就欢腾起来，高声赞美上帝：“奉主名来的王当受称颂！天上有平安，至高处有荣耀！”百姓中有几个法利赛人对耶稣说：“老师，你要责备你的门徒。”耶稣说：“我告诉你们，如果他们闭口不言，这些石头都要呼喊了！”

那些亲眼看见耶稣叫拉撒路复活、走出坟墓的人不断传扬这件事。许多听过耶稣行这神迹的人都去迎接祂。

祂的作为荣耀威严，祂的公义永远长存。

官长实在不知道如何惩治使徒，只好再三恐吓之后把他们放了，因为百姓都为这个神迹赞美上帝。

只是无从下手，因为百姓都十分喜爱听祂讲道。

不过，他们猖狂不了多久，因为他们的愚昧行径必暴露在众人面前，就像雅尼和佯庇的下场一样。

大家看见他一边走一边赞美上帝，认出他就是那个在美门外面的乞丐，都为发生在他身上的事而感到惊奇、诧异。那乞丐紧紧拉着彼得和约翰的手走到所罗门廊，众人都跑过来，啧啧称奇。

他立刻得见光明，并跟随耶稣，一路赞美上帝。目睹这事的人也都赞美上帝。

到那日，耶和华的苗必长得茂盛华美，这地方的出产必成为以色列幸存者的骄傲和光荣。
