因为耶稣在安息日使人痊愈，会堂主管就很生气，对那群人说：“应该做工的日子有六天，所以你们在那些日子来得痊愈吧！但不要在安息日这一天。”

Indignant because Jesus had healed on the Sabbath, the synagogue leader said to the people,“ There are six days for work. So come and be healed on those days, not on the Sabbath.”

Jesus had healed the woman on the Sabbath day. This made the synagogue leader angry. He told the people,“ There are six days for work. So come and be healed on those days. But do not come on the Sabbath day.”

But the ruler of the synagogue, indignant because Jesus had healed on the Sabbath, said to the people,“ There are six days in which work ought to be done. Come on those days and be healed, and not on the Sabbath day.”

But the leader in charge of the synagogue was indignant that Jesus had healed her on the Sabbath day.“ There are six days of the week for working,” he said to the crowd.“ Come on those days to be healed, not on the Sabbath.”

But the leader of the synagogue, indignant because Jesus had healed on the Sabbath, responded by telling the crowd,“ There are six days when work should be done; therefore come on those days and be healed and not on the Sabbath day.”

有些法利赛人看见了，就对耶稣说：“你看，你的门徒们做了在安息日不可以做的事。”

那个人就去向那些犹太人报告说，使他痊愈的是耶稣。那些犹太人之所以逼迫耶稣，是因为他在安息日做这些事。

耶稣和泥开他眼睛的那一天，正是安息日。法利赛人也再次问他是怎么得以看见的。他说：“他把泥抹在我的眼睛上，我一洗，就能看见了。”法利赛人中的有些人说：“那个人不是从神那里来的，因为他不守安息日。”有些人却说：“一个罪人怎么能行这样的神迹呢？”他们之间就产生了分裂。

经文士们和法利赛人就密切注意耶稣会不会在安息日使人痊愈，为要找把柄控告他。

这时候，来了一个名叫睚鲁的会堂主管。他一见到耶稣，就俯伏在耶稣脚前，

看哪，有个一只手枯萎的人。有些人就问耶稣，说：“在安息日使人痊愈，是否可以呢？”这是为要控告耶稣。耶稣对他们说：“你们当中有哪一个人，如果他有一只羊在安息日掉进坑里，他不会抓住羊，把它拉上来呢？人比羊重要多了！所以，在安息日做好事是可以的。”

我见证他们对神有热心，但不是按着真正的认识。

有些人就密切注意耶稣会不会在安息日使那个人痊愈，这是为要控告耶稣。耶稣对那手枯萎的人说：“起来，站到中间来！”耶稣问他们：“在安息日可以行善还是作恶，救命还是害命？”他们却不做声。耶稣愤怒地环视他们，又为他们心里刚硬而忧伤，就对那个人说：“伸出手来！”他一伸出来，手就复原了。那些法利赛人就出去，立刻与希律党的人一起商议怎样对付耶稣，好除灭他。

大家都抓住会堂主管索提尼，在审判台前殴打他。但伽利奥一概不管这些事。

诵读了律法和先知书以后，会堂主管们派人来对他们说：“各位兄弟，如果有什么鼓励民众的话，就请说吧。”

他们就满腔怒火，彼此商量到底怎么对付耶稣。

于是耶稣问律法师们和法利赛人，说：“在安息日使人痊愈，可以不可以？”他们都安静下来。耶稣就扶着那人，使他痊愈，让他走了。然后耶稣对他们说：“你们当中谁有儿子或牛在安息日这一天掉到井里，而不立刻把他拉上来呢？”他们对这些话不能答辩。

会堂主管克里斯普和他全家都信了主，还有许多哥林多人听了以后就信了，并且受了洗。
