Indignant because Jesus had healed on the Sabbath, the synagogue leader said to the people,“ There are six days for work. So come and be healed on those days, not on the Sabbath.”

Jesus had healed the woman on the Sabbath day. This made the synagogue leader angry. He told the people,“ There are six days for work. So come and be healed on those days. But do not come on the Sabbath day.”

But the ruler of the synagogue, indignant because Jesus had healed on the Sabbath, said to the people,“ There are six days in which work ought to be done. Come on those days and be healed, and not on the Sabbath day.”

But the leader in charge of the synagogue was indignant that Jesus had healed her on the Sabbath day.“ There are six days of the week for working,” he said to the crowd.“ Come on those days to be healed, not on the Sabbath.”

The man went away, and told the Jews that it was Jesus who had made him whole.And for this cause the Jews persecuted Jesus, because he did these things on the sabbath.

Now it was the sabbath on the day when Jesus made the clay, and opened his eyes.Again therefore the Pharisees also asked him how he received his sight. And he said unto them, He put clay upon mine eyes, and I washed, and I see.Some therefore of the Pharisees said, This man is not from God, because he keepeth not the sabbath. And the scribes and the Pharisees watched him, whether he would heal on the sabbath; that they might find how to accuse him.

And there cometh one of the rulers of the synagogue, Jairus by name; and seeing him, he falleth at his feet,

And behold, there came a man named Jairus, and he was a ruler of the synagogue: and he fell down at Jesus’ feet, and besought him to come into his house;

and behold, a man having a withered hand. And they asked him, saying, Is it lawful to heal on the sabbath day? that they might accuse him.And he said unto them, What man shall there be of you, that shall have one sheep, and if this fall into a pit on the sabbath day, will he not lay hold on it, and lift it out?How much then is a man of more value than a sheep! Wherefore it is lawful to do good on the sabbath day.

For I bear them witness that they have a zeal for God, but not according to knowledge.

Moreover also I gave them my sabbaths, to be a sign between me and them, that they might know that I am Jehovah that sanctifieth them.

And they watched him, whether he would heal him on the sabbath day; that they might accuse him.And he saith unto the man that had his hand withered, Stand forth.And he saith unto them, Is it lawful on the sabbath day to do good, or to do harm? to save a life, or to kill? But they held their peace.And when he had looked round about on them with anger, being grieved at the hardening of their heart, he saith unto the man, Stretch forth thy hand. And he stretched it forth; and his hand was restored.And the Pharisees went out, and straightway with the Herodians took counsel against him, how they might destroy him.

Six days thou shalt do thy work, and on the seventh day thou shalt rest; that thine ox and thine ass may have rest, and the son of thy handmaid, and the sojourner, may be refreshed.

And they all laid hold on Sosthenes, the ruler of the synagogue, and beat him before the judgment- seat. And Gallio cared for none of these things.

And after the reading of the law and the prophets the rulers of the synagogue sent unto them, saying, Brethren, if ye have any word of exhortation for the people, say on.

Six days shall work be done: but on the seventh day is a sabbath of solemn rest, a holy convocation; ye shall do no manner of work: it is a sabbath unto Jehovah in all your dwellings.

But they were filled with madness; and communed one with another what they might do to Jesus.

And Jesus answering spake unto the lawyers and Pharisees, saying, Is it lawful to heal on the sabbath, or not?But they held their peace. And he took him, and healed him, and let him go.And he said unto them, Which of you shall have an ass or an ox fallen into a well, and will not straightway draw him up on a sabbath day?And they could not answer again unto these things.

And Crispus, the ruler of the synagogue, believed in the Lord with all his house; and many of the Corinthians hearing believed, and were baptized.
