因為時候到了，審判要先從上帝的家開始。如果審判要從我們開始，那些不信從上帝福音的人會有怎樣的結局呢？如果義人得救尚且不易，不敬虔的人和罪人會有什麼下場呢？

他們把祂綁起來，押送到總督彼拉多那裡。

我聽見祂對其餘的人說：「你們要跟隨他走遍全城，毫不留情地殺戮，將男女老幼全部殺盡，但你們不能傷害額上有記號的。你們要從聖所開始。」於是他們首先殺了殿前的眾長老。祂又對他們說：「要玷污這殿，把你們所殺的堆滿整個院子。去吧！」他們便出去，在城中殺戮。

「耶和華啊，求你看看，你曾這樣對付過誰呢？母親豈能吃自己的孩子？祭司和先知豈能在主的聖所中被殺？

後來，又有個加利利人猶大在戶口登記期間鼓動百姓跟隨他造反。他被殺之後，那些跟隨者也煙消雲散了。
