Don’t assume that I came to bring peace on the earth. I did not come to bring peace, but a sword.For I came to turn a man against his father, a daughter against her mother, a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law;and a man’s enemies will be the members of his household.

Then I cut in two my second staff, Union, annulling the brotherhood between Judah and Israel.

So I shepherded the flock intended for slaughter, the afflicted of the flock. I took two staffs, calling one Favor and the other Union, and I shepherded the flock.In one month I got rid of three shepherds. I became impatient with them, and they also detested me.

For nation will rise up against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in various places.All these events are the beginning of birth pains.“ Then they will hand you over for persecution, and they will kill you. You will be hated by all nations because of My name.Then many will take offense, betray one another and hate one another.
