The Lord said,“ Who then is the faithful and wise steward, whom his lord will set over his household, to give them their portion of food at the right times?

主说：“那么，谁是那忠心又精明的管家，主人要派他管理自己的家仆，按时定量分粮给他们的呢？

主说：“那么，谁是那忠心又精明的管家，主人要派他管理自己的家仆，按时定量分粮给他们的呢？

主说：“谁是那个受主人委托管理家中大小仆役、按时分粮食给他们、又忠心又精明的管家呢？

主说：“谁是那忠心精明的管家，被主人指派管理家里的仆人，按时分粮呢？

主说：“究竟谁是那又忠心又聪明的管家——受主人委任统管他家人、按时分发粮食的人呢？

主說：「誰是那忠心有見識的管家，主人派他管理家裏的人，按時分糧給他們呢？

主說：「那麼，誰是那忠心又精明的管家，主人要派他管理自己的家僕，按時定量分糧給他們的呢？

主說：「那麼，誰是那忠心又精明的管家，主人要派他管理自己的家僕，按時定量分糧給他們的呢？

主說：「誰是那個受主人委託管理家中大小僕役、按時分糧食給他們、又忠心又精明的管家呢？

主說：“誰是那忠心精明的管家，被主人指派管理家裡的僕人，按時分糧呢？

主說：『那麼、誰是可信靠而精明的管家，主人所要委派去管理他的家僕，按時把定量食糧給他們的呢？

主說：「究竟誰是那又忠心又聰明的管家——受主人委任統管他家人、按時分發糧食的人呢？

主曰、孰為忠智之家宰、主任之督其家人、依時予之糧乎、

主曰、孰是忠智家宰、主任之督其家人、依時與糧、

主曰、孰是忠心家宰、主人任之督其家人、按時予糧、

主曰：『以爾度之、孰為忠敏之家宰、主可賦予職權、督理眾役、而能按時授糧者？

The Lord answered,“ Who then is the faithful and wise manager, whom the master puts in charge of his servants to give them their food allowance at the proper time?

The Lord answered,“ Suppose a master puts one of his servants in charge of his other servants. The servant’s job is to give them the food they are to receive at the right time. The master wants a faithful and wise manager for this.

And the Lord said,“ Who then is the faithful and wise manager, whom his master will set over his household, to give them their portion of food at the proper time?

And the Lord replied,“ A faithful, sensible servant is one to whom the master can give the responsibility of managing his other household servants and feeding them.

The Lord said,“ Who then is the faithful and sensible manager his master will put in charge of his household servants to give them their allotted food at the proper time?

And the Lord said,“ Who then is the faithful and sensible steward, whom his master will put in charge of his servants, to give them their rations at the proper time?

And the Lord said,“ Who then is that faithful and wise steward, whom his master will make ruler over his household, to give them their portion of food in due season?

And the Lord said, Who then is the faithful and wise steward, whom his lord shall set over his household, to give them their portion of food in due season?

The Lord said:“ Who then is the faithful and sensible manager his master will put in charge of his household servants to give them their allotted food at the proper time?

And the Lord said, Who then is that faithful and wise steward, whom[ his] lord shall make ruler over his household, to give[ them their] portion of meat in due season?

The Lord replied,“ Who then is the faithful and wise manager, whom the master puts in charge of his household servants, to give them their allowance of food at the proper time?

“ Who then is the faithful and wise servant, whom his lord has set over his household, to give them their food in due season?Blessed is that servant whom his lord finds doing so when he comes.

“ When he had come back again, having received the kingdom, he commanded these servants, to whom he had given the money, to be called to him, that he might know what they had gained by conducting business.The first came before him, saying,‘ Lord, your mina has made ten more minas.’“ He said to him,‘ Well done, you good servant! Because you were found faithful with very little, you shall have authority over ten cities.’“ The second came, saying,‘ Your mina, Lord, has made five minas.’“ So he said to him,‘ And you are to be over five cities.’

Therefore I exhort the elders among you, as a fellow elder, and a witness of the sufferings of Christ, and who will also share in the glory that will be revealed.Shepherd the flock of God which is among you, exercising the oversight, not under compulsion, but voluntarily, not for dishonest gain, but willingly;not as lording it over those entrusted to you, but making yourselves examples to the flock.When the chief Shepherd is revealed, you will receive the crown of glory that doesn’t fade away.

For the overseer must be blameless, as God’s steward, not self- pleasing, not easily angered, not given to wine, not violent, not greedy for dishonest gain;

So let a man think of us as Christ’s servants, and stewards of God’s mysteries.Here, moreover, it is required of stewards that they be found faithful.

Take heed, therefore, to yourselves, and to all the flock, in which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers, to shepherd the assembly of the Lord and God which he purchased with his own blood.

Remember your leaders, men who spoke to you the word of God, and considering the results of their conduct, imitate their faith.

As each has received a gift, employ it in serving one another, as good managers of the grace of God in its various forms.

Obey your leaders and submit to them, for they watch on behalf of your souls, as those who will give account, that they may do this with joy, and not with groaning, for that would be unprofitable for you.

preach the word; be urgent in season and out of season; reprove, rebuke, and exhort with all patience and teaching.

So when they had eaten their breakfast, Jesus said to Simon Peter,“ Simon, son of Jonah, do you love me more than these?” He said to him,“ Yes, Lord; you know that I have affection for you.” He said to him,“ Feed my lambs.”He said to him again a second time,“ Simon, son of Jonah, do you love me?” He said to him,“ Yes, Lord; you know that I have affection for you.” He said to him,“ Tend my sheep.”He said to him the third time,“ Simon, son of Jonah, do you have affection for me?” Peter was grieved because he asked him the third time,“ Do you have affection for me?” He said to him,“ Lord, you know everything. You know that I have affection for you.” Jesus said to him,“ Feed my sheep.

Moses indeed was faithful in all his house as a servant, for a testimony of those things which were afterward to be spoken,

When evening had come, the lord of the vineyard said to his manager,‘ Call the laborers and pay them their wages, beginning from the last to the first.’

I will set up shepherds over them, who will feed them. They will no longer be afraid or dismayed, neither will any be lacking,” says Yahweh.

He who received the five talents came and brought another five talents, saying,‘ Lord, you delivered to me five talents. Behold, I have gained another five talents in addition to them.’“ His lord said to him,‘ Well done, good and faithful servant. You have been faithful over a few things, I will set you over many things. Enter into the joy of your lord.’“ He also who got the two talents came and said,‘ Lord, you delivered to me two talents. Behold, I have gained another two talents in addition to them.’“ His lord said to him,‘ Well done, good and faithful servant. You have been faithful over a few things, I will set you over many things. Enter into the joy of your lord.’

The Lord Yahweh has given me the tongue of those who are taught, that I may know how to sustain with words him who is weary. He awakens morning by morning, he awakens my ear to hear as those who are taught.

Let the elders who rule well be counted worthy of double honor, especially those who labor in the word and in teaching.

Joy comes to a man with the reply of his mouth. How good is a word at the right time!

but if I wait long, that you may know how men ought to behave themselves in God’s house, which is the assembly of the living God, the pillar and ground of the truth.

You eat the fat. You clothe yourself with the wool. You kill the fatlings, but you don’t feed the sheep.

He said to them,“ Therefore every scribe who has been made a disciple in the Kingdom of Heaven is like a man who is a householder, who brings out of his treasure new and old things.”

He also said to his disciples,“ There was a certain rich man who had a manager. An accusation was made to him that this man was wasting his possessions.He called him, and said to him,‘ What is this that I hear about you? Give an accounting of your management, for you can no longer be manager.’“ The manager said within himself,‘ What will I do, seeing that my lord is taking away the management position from me? I don’t have strength to dig. I am ashamed to beg.I know what I will do, so that when I am removed from management, they may receive me into their houses.’Calling each one of his lord’s debtors to him, he said to the first,‘ How much do you owe to my lord?’He said,‘ A hundred batos of oil.’ He said to him,‘ Take your bill, and sit down quickly and write fifty.’Then he said to another,‘ How much do you owe?’ He said,‘ A hundred cors of wheat.’ He said to him,‘ Take your bill, and write eighty.’“ His lord commended the dishonest manager because he had done wisely, for the children of this world are, in their own generation, wiser than the children of the light.I tell you, make for yourselves friends by means of unrighteous mammon, so that when you fail, they may receive you into the eternal tents.He who is faithful in a very little is faithful also in much. He who is dishonest in a very little is also dishonest in much.If therefore you have not been faithful in the unrighteous mammon, who will commit to your trust the true riches?If you have not been faithful in that which is another’s, who will give you that which is your own?No servant can serve two masters, for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to one, and despise the other. You aren’t able to serve God and Mammon.”The Pharisees, who were lovers of money, also heard all these things, and they scoffed at him.He said to them,“ You are those who justify yourselves in the sight of men, but God knows your hearts. For that which is exalted among men is an abomination in the sight of God.The law and the prophets were until John. From that time the Good News of God’s Kingdom is preached, and everyone is forcing his way into it.But it is easier for heaven and earth to pass away, than for one tiny stroke of a pen in the law to fall.Everyone who divorces his wife and marries another commits adultery. He who marries one who is divorced from a husband commits adultery.“ Now there was a certain rich man, and he was clothed in purple and fine linen, living in luxury every day.A certain beggar, named Lazarus, was taken to his gate, full of sores,and desiring to be fed with the crumbs that fell from the rich man’s table. Yes, even the dogs came and licked his sores.The beggar died, and he was carried away by the angels to Abraham’s bosom. The rich man also died, and was buried.In Hades, he lifted up his eyes, being in torment, and saw Abraham far off, and Lazarus at his bosom.He cried and said,‘ Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue! For I am in anguish in this flame.’“ But Abraham said,‘ Son, remember that you, in your lifetime, received your good things, and Lazarus, in the same way, bad things. But here he is now comforted, and you are in anguish.Besides all this, between us and you there is a great gulf fixed, that those who want to pass from here to you are not able, and that no one may cross over from there to us.’“ He said,‘ I ask you therefore, father, that you would send him to my father’s house;for I have five brothers, that he may testify to them, so they won’t also come into this place of torment.’“ But Abraham said to him,‘ They have Moses and the prophets. Let them listen to them.’“ He said,‘ No, father Abraham, but if one goes to them from the dead, they will repent.’“ He said to him,‘ If they don’t listen to Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded if one rises from the dead.’”

When the Lord saw her, he had compassion on her, and said to her,“ Don’t cry.”
