And the Lord said,“ Who then is the faithful and sensible steward, whom his master will put in charge of his servants, to give them their rations at the proper time?

主说：“谁是那个受主人委托管理家中大小仆役、按时分粮食给他们、又忠心又精明的管家呢？

主说：“究竟谁是那又忠心又聪明的管家——受主人委任统管他家人、按时分发粮食的人呢？

主說：「誰是那忠心有見識的管家，主人派他管理家裏的人，按時分糧給他們呢？

主說：「那麼，誰是那忠心又精明的管家，主人要派他管理自己的家僕，按時定量分糧給他們的呢？

主說：「那麼，誰是那忠心又精明的管家，主人要派他管理自己的家僕，按時定量分糧給他們的呢？

主說：「誰是那個受主人委託管理家中大小僕役、按時分糧食給他們、又忠心又精明的管家呢？

主說：“誰是那忠心精明的管家，被主人指派管理家裡的僕人，按時分糧呢？

主說：『那麼、誰是可信靠而精明的管家，主人所要委派去管理他的家僕，按時把定量食糧給他們的呢？

主說：「究竟誰是那又忠心又聰明的管家——受主人委任統管他家人、按時分發糧食的人呢？

主曰、孰為忠智之家宰、主任之督其家人、依時予之糧乎、

主曰、孰是忠智家宰、主任之督其家人、依時與糧、

主曰、孰是忠心家宰、主人任之督其家人、按時予糧、

主曰：『以爾度之、孰為忠敏之家宰、主可賦予職權、督理眾役、而能按時授糧者？

The Lord answered,“ Who then is the faithful and wise manager, whom the master puts in charge of his servants to give them their food allowance at the proper time?

The Lord answered,“ Suppose a master puts one of his servants in charge of his other servants. The servant’s job is to give them the food they are to receive at the right time. The master wants a faithful and wise manager for this.

And the Lord said,“ Who then is the faithful and wise manager, whom his master will set over his household, to give them their portion of food at the proper time?

And the Lord replied,“ A faithful, sensible servant is one to whom the master can give the responsibility of managing his other household servants and feeding them.

The Lord said,“ Who then is the faithful and sensible manager his master will put in charge of his household servants to give them their allotted food at the proper time?

And the Lord said,“ Who then is that faithful and wise steward, whom his master will make ruler over his household, to give them their portion of food in due season?

And the Lord said, Who then is the faithful and wise steward, whom his lord shall set over his household, to give them their portion of food in due season?

The Lord said:“ Who then is the faithful and sensible manager his master will put in charge of his household servants to give them their allotted food at the proper time?

And the Lord said, Who then is that faithful and wise steward, whom[ his] lord shall make ruler over his household, to give[ them their] portion of meat in due season?

The Lord replied,“ Who then is the faithful and wise manager, whom the master puts in charge of his household servants, to give them their allowance of food at the proper time?

The Lord said,“ Who then is the faithful and wise steward, whom his lord will set over his household, to give them their portion of food at the right times?

“ Who then is the faithful and sensible slave whom his master put in charge of his household slaves, to give them their food at the proper time?Blessed is that slave whom his master finds so doing when he comes.

When he returned after receiving the kingdom, he ordered that these slaves, to whom he had given the money, be summoned to him so that he would learn how much they had made by the business they had done.The first slave appeared, saying,‘ Master, your mina has made ten minas more.’And he said to him,‘ Well done, good slave; since you have been faithful in a very little thing, you are to have authority over ten cities.’The second one came, saying,‘ Your mina, master, has made five minas.’And he said to him also,‘ And you are to be over five cities.’

Therefore, I urge elders among you, as your fellow elder and a witness of the sufferings of Christ, and one who is also a fellow partaker of the glory that is to be revealed:shepherd the flock of God among you, exercising oversight, not under compulsion but voluntarily, according to the will of God; and not with greed but with eagerness;nor yet as domineering over those assigned to your care, but by proving to be examples to the flock.And when the Chief Shepherd appears, you will receive the unfading crown of glory.

For the overseer must be beyond reproach as God’s steward, not self willed, not quick tempered, not overindulging in wine, not a bully, not greedy for money,

This is the way any person is to regard us: as servants of Christ and stewards of the mysteries of God.In this case, moreover, it is required of stewards that one be found trustworthy.

Be on guard for yourselves and for all the flock, among which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers, to shepherd the church of God which He purchased with His own blood.

Remember those who led you, who spoke the word of God to you; and considering the result of their way of life, imitate their faith.

As each one has received a special gift, employ it in serving one another as good stewards of the multifaceted grace of God.

Obey your leaders and submit to them— for they keep watch over your souls as those who will give an account— so that they may do this with joy, not groaning; for this would be unhelpful for you.

preach the word; be ready in season and out of season; correct, rebuke, and exhort, with great patience and instruction.

Now when they had finished breakfast, Jesus* said to Simon Peter,“ Simon, son of John, do you love Me more than these?” He* said to Him,“ Yes, Lord; You know that I love You.” He* said to him,“ Tend My lambs.”He* said to him again, a second time,“ Simon, son of John, do you love Me?” He* said to Him,“ Yes, Lord; You know that I love You.” He* said to him,“ Shepherd My sheep.”He* said to him the third time,“ Simon, son of John, do you love Me?” Peter was hurt because He said to him the third time,“ Do you love Me?” And he said to Him,“ Lord, You know all things; You know that I love You.” Jesus* said to him,“ Tend My sheep.

Now Moses was faithful in all God’s house as a servant, for a testimony of those things which were to be spoken later;

“ Now when evening came, the owner of the vineyard* said to his foreman,‘ Call the laborers and pay them their wages, starting with the last group to the first.’

I will also raise up shepherds over them and they will tend them; and they will not be afraid any longer, nor be terrified, nor will any be missing,” declares the Lord.

The one who had received the five talents came up and brought five more talents, saying,‘ Master, you entrusted five talents to me. See, I have earned five more talents.’His master said to him,‘ Well done, good and faithful slave. You were faithful with a few things, I will put you in charge of many things; enter the joy of your master.’“ Also the one who had received the two talents came up and said,‘ Master, you entrusted two talents to me. See, I have earned two more talents.’His master said to him,‘ Well done, good and faithful slave. You were faithful with a few things, I will put you in charge of many things; enter the joy of your master.’

The Lord God has given Me the tongue of disciples, So that I may know how to sustain the weary one with a word. He awakens Me morning by morning, He awakens My ear to listen as a disciple.

The elders who lead well are to be considered worthy of double honor, especially those who work hard at preaching and teaching.

A person has joy in an apt answer, And how delightful is a timely word!

but in case I am delayed, I write so that you will know how one should act in the household of God, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and support of the truth.

You eat the fat and clothe yourselves with the wool, you slaughter the fat sheep without feeding the flock.

And Jesus said to them,“ Therefore every scribe who has become a disciple of the kingdom of heaven is like a head of a household, who brings out of his treasure new things and old.”

Now He was also saying to the disciples,“ There was a rich man who had a manager, and this manager was reported to him as squandering his possessions.And he summoned him and said to him,‘ What is this I hear about you? Give an accounting of your management, for you can no longer be manager.’And the manager said to himself,‘ What am I to do, since my master is taking the management away from me? I am not strong enough to dig; I am ashamed to beg.I know what I will do, so that when I am removed from the management people will welcome me into their homes.’And he summoned each one of his master’s debtors, and he began saying to the first,‘ How much do you owe my master?’And he said,‘ A hundred jugs of oil.’ And he said to him,‘ Take your bill, and sit down quickly and write fifty.’Then he said to another,‘ And how much do you owe?’ And he said,‘ A hundred kors of wheat.’ He* said to him,‘ Take your bill, and write eighty.’And his master complimented the unrighteous manager because he had acted shrewdly; for the sons of this age are more shrewd in relation to their own kind than the sons of light.And I say to you, make friends for yourselves by means of the wealth of unrighteousness, so that when it is all gone, they will receive you into the eternal dwellings.“ The one who is faithful in a very little thing is also faithful in much; and the one who is unrighteous in a very little thing is also unrighteous in much.Therefore if you have not been faithful in the use of unrighteous wealth, who will entrust the true wealth to you?And if you have not been faithful in the use of that which is another’s, who will give you that which is your own?No servant can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and wealth.”Now the Pharisees, who were lovers of money, were listening to all these things and were ridiculing Him.And He said to them,“ You are the ones who justify yourselves in the sight of people, but God knows your hearts; because that which is highly esteemed among people is detestable in the sight of God.“ The Law and the Prophets were proclaimed until John came; since that time the gospel of the kingdom of God has been preached, and everyone is forcing his way into it.But it is easier for heaven and earth to pass away than for one stroke of a letter of the Law to fail.“ Everyone who divorces his wife and marries another commits adultery, and he who marries one who is divorced from a husband commits adultery.“ Now there was a rich man, and he habitually dressed in purple and fine linen, enjoying himself in splendor every day.And a poor man named Lazarus was laid at his gate, covered with sores,and longing to be fed from the scraps which fell from the rich man’s table; not only that, the dogs also were coming and licking his sores.Now it happened that the poor man died and was carried away by the angels to Abraham’s arms; and the rich man also died and was buried.And in Hades he raised his eyes, being in torment, and* saw Abraham far away and Lazarus in his arms.And he cried out and said,‘ Father Abraham, have mercy on me and send Lazarus, so that he may dip the tip of his finger in water and cool off my tongue, for I am in agony in this flame.’But Abraham said,‘ Child, remember that during your life you received your good things, and likewise Lazarus bad things; but now he is being comforted here, and you are in agony.And besides all this, between us and you a great chasm has been set, so that those who want to go over from here to you will not be able, nor will any people cross over from there to us.’And he said,‘ Then I request of you, father, that you send him to my father’s house—for I have five brothers— in order that he may warn them, so that they will not come to this place of torment as well.’But Abraham* said,‘ They have Moses and the Prophets; let them hear them.’But he said,‘ No, father Abraham, but if someone goes to them from the dead, they will repent!’But he said to him,‘ If they do not listen to Moses and the Prophets, they will not be persuaded even if someone rises from the dead.’ ”

When the Lord saw her, He felt compassion for her and said to her,“ Do not go on weeping.”
