And the Lord said,“ Who then is the faithful and wise manager, whom his master will set over his household, to give them their portion of food at the proper time?

主說：「誰是那忠心有見識的管家，主人派他管理家裏的人，按時分糧給他們呢？

主說：「那麼，誰是那忠心又精明的管家，主人要派他管理自己的家僕，按時定量分糧給他們的呢？

主說：「誰是那個受主人委託管理家中大小僕役、按時分糧食給他們、又忠心又精明的管家呢？

主說：“誰是那忠心精明的管家，被主人指派管理家裡的僕人，按時分糧呢？

主說：『那麼、誰是可信靠而精明的管家，主人所要委派去管理他的家僕，按時把定量食糧給他們的呢？

主說：「究竟誰是那又忠心又聰明的管家——受主人委任統管他家人、按時分發糧食的人呢？

主曰、孰為忠智之家宰、主任之督其家人、依時予之糧乎、

主曰、孰是忠智家宰、主任之督其家人、依時與糧、

主曰、孰是忠心家宰、主人任之督其家人、按時予糧、

主曰：『以爾度之、孰為忠敏之家宰、主可賦予職權、督理眾役、而能按時授糧者？

The Lord answered,“ Who then is the faithful and wise manager, whom the master puts in charge of his servants to give them their food allowance at the proper time?

The Lord answered,“ Suppose a master puts one of his servants in charge of his other servants. The servant’s job is to give them the food they are to receive at the right time. The master wants a faithful and wise manager for this.

And the Lord replied,“ A faithful, sensible servant is one to whom the master can give the responsibility of managing his other household servants and feeding them.

The Lord said,“ Who then is the faithful and sensible manager his master will put in charge of his household servants to give them their allotted food at the proper time?

And the Lord said,“ Who then is the faithful and sensible steward, whom his master will put in charge of his servants, to give them their rations at the proper time?

And the Lord said,“ Who then is that faithful and wise steward, whom his master will make ruler over his household, to give them their portion of food in due season?

And the Lord said, Who then is the faithful and wise steward, whom his lord shall set over his household, to give them their portion of food in due season?

The Lord said:“ Who then is the faithful and sensible manager his master will put in charge of his household servants to give them their allotted food at the proper time?

And the Lord said, Who then is that faithful and wise steward, whom[ his] lord shall make ruler over his household, to give[ them their] portion of meat in due season?

The Lord replied,“ Who then is the faithful and wise manager, whom the master puts in charge of his household servants, to give them their allowance of food at the proper time?

The Lord said,“ Who then is the faithful and wise steward, whom his lord will set over his household, to give them their portion of food at the right times?

“ Who then is the faithful and wise servant, whom his master has set over his household, to give them their food at the proper time?Blessed is that servant whom his master will find so doing when he comes.

When he returned, having received the kingdom, he ordered these servants to whom he had given the money to be called to him, that he might know what they had gained by doing business.The first came before him, saying,‘ Lord, your mina has made ten minas more.’And he said to him,‘ Well done, good servant! Because you have been faithful in a very little, you shall have authority over ten cities.’And the second came, saying,‘ Lord, your mina has made five minas.’And he said to him,‘ And you are to be over five cities.’

So I exhort the elders among you, as a fellow elder and a witness of the sufferings of Christ, as well as a partaker in the glory that is going to be revealed:shepherd the flock of God that is among you, exercising oversight, not under compulsion, but willingly, as God would have you; not for shameful gain, but eagerly;not domineering over those in your charge, but being examples to the flock.And when the chief Shepherd appears, you will receive the unfading crown of glory.

For an overseer, as God’s steward, must be above reproach. He must not be arrogant or quick-tempered or a drunkard or violent or greedy for gain,

This is how one should regard us, as servants of Christ and stewards of the mysteries of God.Moreover, it is required of stewards that they be found faithful.

Pay careful attention to yourselves and to all the flock, in which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers, to care for the church of God, which he obtained with his own blood.

Remember your leaders, those who spoke to you the word of God. Consider the outcome of their way of life, and imitate their faith.

As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God’s varied grace:

Obey your leaders and submit to them, for they are keeping watch over your souls, as those who will have to give an account. Let them do this with joy and not with groaning, for that would be of no advantage to you.

preach the word; be ready in season and out of season; reprove, rebuke, and exhort, with complete patience and teaching.

When they had finished breakfast, Jesus said to Simon Peter,“ Simon, son of John, do you love me more than these?” He said to him,“ Yes, Lord; you know that I love you.” He said to him,“ Feed my lambs.”He said to him a second time,“ Simon, son of John, do you love me?” He said to him,“ Yes, Lord; you know that I love you.” He said to him,“ Tend my sheep.”He said to him the third time,“ Simon, son of John, do you love me?” Peter was grieved because he said to him the third time,“ Do you love me?” and he said to him,“ Lord, you know everything; you know that I love you.” Jesus said to him,“ Feed my sheep.

Now Moses was faithful in all God’s house as a servant, to testify to the things that were to be spoken later,

And when evening came, the owner of the vineyard said to his foreman,‘ Call the laborers and pay them their wages, beginning with the last, up to the first.’

I will set shepherds over them who will care for them, and they shall fear no more, nor be dismayed, neither shall any be missing, declares the Lord.

And he who had received the five talents came forward, bringing five talents more, saying,‘ Master, you delivered to me five talents; here, I have made five talents more.’His master said to him,‘ Well done, good and faithful servant. You have been faithful over a little; I will set you over much. Enter into the joy of your master.’And he also who had the two talents came forward, saying,‘ Master, you delivered to me two talents; here, I have made two talents more.’His master said to him,‘ Well done, good and faithful servant. You have been faithful over a little; I will set you over much. Enter into the joy of your master.’

The Lord God has given me the tongue of those who are taught, that I may know how to sustain with a word him who is weary. Morning by morning he awakens; he awakens my ear to hear as those who are taught.

Let the elders who rule well be considered worthy of double honor, especially those who labor in preaching and teaching.

To make an apt answer is a joy to a man, and a word in season, how good it is!

if I delay, you may know how one ought to behave in the household of God, which is the church of the living God, a pillar and buttress of the truth.

You eat the fat, you clothe yourselves with the wool, you slaughter the fat ones, but you do not feed the sheep.

And he said to them,“ Therefore every scribe who has been trained for the kingdom of heaven is like a master of a house, who brings out of his treasure what is new and what is old.”

He also said to the disciples,“ There was a rich man who had a manager, and charges were brought to him that this man was wasting his possessions.And he called him and said to him,‘ What is this that I hear about you? Turn in the account of your management, for you can no longer be manager.’And the manager said to himself,‘ What shall I do, since my master is taking the management away from me? I am not strong enough to dig, and I am ashamed to beg.I have decided what to do, so that when I am removed from management, people may receive me into their houses.’So, summoning his master’s debtors one by one, he said to the first,‘ How much do you owe my master?’He said,‘ A hundred measures of oil.’ He said to him,‘ Take your bill, and sit down quickly and write fifty.’Then he said to another,‘ And how much do you owe?’ He said,‘ A hundred measures of wheat.’ He said to him,‘ Take your bill, and write eighty.’The master commended the dishonest manager for his shrewdness. For the sons of this world are more shrewd in dealing with their own generation than the sons of light.And I tell you, make friends for yourselves by means of unrighteous wealth, so that when it fails they may receive you into the eternal dwellings.“ One who is faithful in a very little is also faithful in much, and one who is dishonest in a very little is also dishonest in much.If then you have not been faithful in the unrighteous wealth, who will entrust to you the true riches?And if you have not been faithful in that which is another’s, who will give you that which is your own?No servant can serve two masters, for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and money.”The Pharisees, who were lovers of money, heard all these things, and they ridiculed him.And he said to them,“ You are those who justify yourselves before men, but God knows your hearts. For what is exalted among men is an abomination in the sight of God.“ The Law and the Prophets were until John; since then the good news of the kingdom of God is preached, and everyone forces his way into it.But it is easier for heaven and earth to pass away than for one dot of the Law to become void.“ Everyone who divorces his wife and marries another commits adultery, and he who marries a woman divorced from her husband commits adultery.“ There was a rich man who was clothed in purple and fine linen and who feasted sumptuously every day.And at his gate was laid a poor man named Lazarus, covered with sores,who desired to be fed with what fell from the rich man’s table. Moreover, even the dogs came and licked his sores.The poor man died and was carried by the angels to Abraham’s side. The rich man also died and was buried,and in Hades, being in torment, he lifted up his eyes and saw Abraham far off and Lazarus at his side.And he called out,‘ Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus to dip the end of his finger in water and cool my tongue, for I am in anguish in this flame.’But Abraham said,‘ Child, remember that you in your lifetime received your good things, and Lazarus in like manner bad things; but now he is comforted here, and you are in anguish.And besides all this, between us and you a great chasm has been fixed, in order that those who would pass from here to you may not be able, and none may cross from there to us.’And he said,‘ Then I beg you, father, to send him to my father’s house—for I have five brothers— so that he may warn them, lest they also come into this place of torment.’But Abraham said,‘ They have Moses and the Prophets; let them hear them.’And he said,‘ No, father Abraham, but if someone goes to them from the dead, they will repent.’He said to him,‘ If they do not hear Moses and the Prophets, neither will they be convinced if someone should rise from the dead.’”

And when the Lord saw her, he had compassion on her and said to her,“ Do not weep.”
