“ I tell you, my friends, do not be afraid of those who kill the body and after that can do no more.

殺身而不能殺魂者、勿懼、惟能殺身及魂於地獄者、甚可懼也、

緣義受害、必蒙綏祉、人有危言、勿憂勿懼、

我左右爾、拯救爾、可勿畏人。

魔鬼將爾數人幽囚之、加爾以禍、受難十日、然爾雖受苦、毋畏、當盡忠至死、我必賚爾永生之賞、若加冠冕、

良人曰、我之新婦、視若姊妹、我入園囿、採沒藥與香品、食蜂房與甘蜜、飲乳酪與酒醴、爾曹友朋、飲之食之、以快其心。○

應經所云、亞伯拉罕信上帝、遂得稱義、於是亞伯拉罕為上帝所愛、

惟爾人子、毋庸畏葸、彼悖逆殘賊、爾居其中、若與蠍同處、勿懼其言、毋畏其威。

然我不以為意、不貴生命、但忻然馳驟、以盡我程、並主耶穌所授之職、以上帝恩寵福音示人、

予今為爾所執、生死惟爾之命、然爾當知、耶和華遣予告爾、誠有是事、如爾殺我、則殺無辜、陷爾及邑民於罪。

眾見彼得約翰、侃侃如也、識其未學蚩氓、異之、又知其從耶穌、

昔我眷顧亞伯拉罕、簡其後裔、以色列族雅各家、為我臣僕。

諳悉仁義、服膺我法者、宜聽我言、人侮慢爾、爾勿畏葸。彼必消亡、若衣為蠹所嚙、若毛為蟲所蛀、惟我施仁義以救民、歷代弗替。先知祈曰、願耶和華、勃然而興、展厥臂力、與昔無異、昔滅喇合、擊鱷魚、豈非爾乎、使滄海水涸、中判為途、以濟得拯之民者、豈非爾乎。蓋耶和華所救之人、必旋歸郇邑、永獲欣喜、懽忭無窮、謳歌靡已、既憂戚之全消、亦欷歔之永息。耶和華曰、我慰藉爾、斯世之人、俱將淪亡、儗於草萊、何為畏之。我耶和華肇造爾邦、張舒穹蒼、奠定寰宇、爾何為忘予、恆畏強暴之人、恐其烈怒、滅爾邦家、然彼怒雖烈、焉能有為。

不為敵動心、如是、則敵自知必亡、而爾知賴上帝得救、

爾遵我命即我友矣、今而後、我不僕爾、以僕不知主所行、我惟友爾、以我聞於父者、皆示爾也、

惟爾束腰、勃然而興、盡述我命、勿畏其威。否則我必使爾驚懼特甚。

沙得臘、米煞、亞伯尼坷對曰、我儕自有說、我所事之上帝、能救我於洪爐、脫我於王手、

吹氣若蘭、洵可愛也。耶路撒冷女乎、我之夫子若此。
