I am torn between the two. I long to depart and be with Christ— which is far better—

The man who had received five talents approached, presented five more talents, and said,‘ Master, you gave me five talents. See, I’ve earned five more talents.’“ His master said to him,‘ Well done, good and faithful servant! You were faithful over a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.There is reserved for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give me on that day, and not only to me, but to all those who have loved his appearing.

Therefore, dear friends, while you wait for these things, make every effort to be found without spot or blemish in his sight, at peace.

For the Lamb who is at the center of the throne will shepherd them; he will guide them to springs of the waters of life, and God will wipe away every tear from their eyes.

“ To the one who conquers I will give the right to sit with me on my throne, just as I also conquered and sat down with my Father on his throne.

Blessed is that servant whom the master finds doing his job when he comes.

For in this way, entry into the eternal kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ will be richly provided for you.

But as it is written, What no eye has seen, no ear has heard, and no human heart has conceived— God has prepared these things for those who love him.

If anyone serves me, he must follow me. Where I am, there my servant also will be. If anyone serves me, the Father will honor him.

I will take delight in them to do what is good for them, and with all my heart and mind I will faithfully plant them in this land.

They sang a new song before the throne and before the four living creatures and the elders, but no one could learn the song except the 144,000 who had been redeemed from the earth.These are the ones who have not defiled themselves with women, since they remained virgins. These are the ones who follow the Lamb wherever he goes. They were redeemed from humanity as the firstfruits for God and the Lamb.

But be alert at all times, praying that you may have strength to escape all these things that are going to take place and to stand before the Son of Man.”

Instead, will he not tell him,‘ Prepare something for me to eat, get ready, and serve me while I eat and drink; later you can eat and drink’?

The LORD your God is among you, a warrior who saves. He will rejoice over you with gladness. He will be quiet in his love. He will delight in you with singing.”
