譬諸一人、離家而遠遊、委權於僕、各任以事、又命守門者警醒、爾亦當警醒、因爾不知家主何時方至、或昏暮、或夜半、或鷄鳴、或平旦、恐其猝至、見爾寢焉、我所語爾者、亦以語眾、即當警醒

耶穌又設喻以語眾、曰、天國如人君為子設婚筵、遣僕召所請者赴筵、皆不肯來、復遣他僕曰、爾告所請者云、我餐已具、我牛與肥畜已宰、百物齊備、請赴婚筵、但彼不顧而去、一往於田、一往於市、其餘執僕凌辱而殺之、君聞之、則怒、遣兵滅此兇人、而焚其邑、遂謂僕曰、婚筵已備、惟所請者不堪、可往通衢、無論遇誰、皆請之赴筵、僕出途間、集凡所遇者、或善或惡、致婚筵賓滿、君入觀賓、見有一人、不衣禮服、語之曰、友乎、爾不衣禮服何至此乎、其人默然、君遂命僕繫其手足、執而投於外幽暗之地、在彼必有哀哭切齒、蓋見召者多、蒙選者少也、○

主歟、我惟希望主之拯救、○

蓋我尚在此幕之時、勸勉爾、使爾憶此諸事、我以為宜然也、因知我幕將速撤、如我主耶穌基督示我者、故我殷勤勸勉爾、使爾於我去世之後、常憶此諸事、

故當警醒、以爾不知爾主何時至也、若家主知何更盜至、則必警醒、不致盜穴其室、此爾所知也、是以爾亦當預備、因爾不意之時、人子忽至、

凡瞻望主、尋求主者、主施之以恩、安靜以望主拯救、斯方為善、

時耶路撒冷有人名西緬、其人義且虔、素仰望慰藉以色列民者、聖神臨之、曾得聖神之默示、言未死之先、必見主之基督、是時感於聖神、進聖殿、適父母抱嬰兒耶穌至、欲為之循律法而行、西緬接抱嬰兒、稱頌天主曰、主、今可依主所言、釋僕安然逝世、因我目已睹主之拯救、

可愛者乎、爾當以所信至聖之道自建、感於聖神而祈禱、當以愛天主之愛而自守、希望我主耶穌基督矜憐、使爾得永生、

是時天國可譬十處女、執燈出迎新娶者、其中五智五愚、愚者執燈、而不備油、智者執燈、且備油於器、新娶者來遲、皆假寐而寢、中夜有呼云、新娶者至矣、爾出迎之、眾處女遂起、各整其燈、愚者謂智者曰、請以爾之油分我、蓋我之燈將熄也、智者對曰、恐爾我俱不足、莫若就售者、為己購之、適往購時、新娶者至、有備者同入婚筵、而門閉矣、後其餘處女至、曰、主歟、主歟、請為我啟、答曰、我誠告爾、我不識爾曹、是以爾當警醒、因其日其時、爾不知也、又作因爾不知何日何時人子至也○

起、欲為我良人啟門、我手滴以沒藥、我指滴以沒藥之汁、滴於門楗、我為我之良人啟門、乃我之良人、已轉身而去、我思其所言、神不守舍、我尋之不得、呼之莫應、

兄弟乎、爾當恆忍、以待主降臨、試觀農夫、望得地之嘉產、忍耐以待、待得前後之雨、爾亦當恆忍、堅固爾心、蓋主之降臨伊邇、
