耶穌聽見了，就對他說，『你還缺了一件：要變賣你一切所有的，以分給窮人，你就有財寶在天上；你來吧，來跟從我。』

為自己積藏財寶、而對上帝不富足的、就是這樣。』

他們賣了田產家業，分給眾人、照人所需要的。

他們中間沒有一個貧乏的，因為凡是業主、有園地或房屋的、都變賣了，把所賣的價錢拿來，放在使徒腳旁；照人所需要的分給各人。

『別為自己積儹財寶在地上了；地上有蟲子和鏽能弄壞，地上有賊能挖窟窿來偷。你只要為自己積儹財寶在天上；那裏既沒有蟲子、也沒有鏽能弄壞；那裏也沒有賊能挖窟窿去偷。因為你的財寶在哪裏，你的心也必在哪裏。

我告訴你們，要用不義的錢財結交朋友，到了錢財無用的時候，你們便可以被接納到永世的帳幕裏去。

就是在患難之大試驗中、他們喜樂之滿溢、跟他們很深的貧窮、竟溢流出他們慷慨施與之豐富來。

現今世富足的人呢、你要囑咐他們別存着高傲的心，不要把盼望釘住於財富之無定上，卻要釘住於那將萬物豐豐富富供給我們享受、的上帝；囑咐他們要行善，要在好事上富足，甘心施捨，樂意同人分享，為自己積存着善行做美好的根基、以備將來，好將那真是生命的把握住。

你們撒種，倒撒的多，收入的卻少；你們喫，卻喫不飽；喝，卻喝不足；有得穿，卻穿不暖；得了工錢，卻把工錢裝到刺破的口袋裏！

他說這話、不是因為他關心於窮人；乃是因為他是賊，帶着錢匣，常竊取人所投的。

來，如今請注意！富足的人哪，應當因你們的慘難、那將要臨到的慘難、來哭泣號咷。你們的財富朽壞了；你們的衣裳給蟲子蛀了；你們的金銀長鏽了；它們的鏽必作證定你們的罪，必像火一樣喫你們的肉。在末後的日子，你們還積藏了財寶！

其實你們只要把裏邊的施捨給人，那麼一切對你們就都潔淨了。
