耶穌聽見了，就說：「你還缺少一件：要變賣你一切所有的，分給窮人，就必有財寶在天上；你還要來跟從我。」

凡為自己積財，在神面前卻不富足的，也是這樣。」

並且賣了田產、家業，照各人所需用的分給各人。

內中也沒有一個缺乏的；因為人人將田產房屋都賣了，把所賣的價銀拿來，放在使徒腳前，照各人所需用的，分給各人。

「不要為自己積攢財寶在地上；地上有蟲子咬，能銹壞，也有賊挖窟窿來偷。只要積攢財寶在天上；天上沒有蟲子咬，不能銹壞，也沒有賊挖窟窿來偷。因為你的財寶在哪裏，你的心也在那裏。」

我又告訴你們，要藉着那不義的錢財結交朋友，到了錢財無用的時候，他們可以接你們到永存的帳幕裏去。

就是他們在患難中受大試煉的時候，仍有滿足的快樂，在極窮之間還格外顯出他們樂捐的厚恩。

你要囑咐那些今世富足的人，不要自高，也不要倚靠無定的錢財；只要倚靠那厚賜百物給我們享受的神。又要囑咐他們行善，在好事上富足，甘心施捨，樂意供給人，為自己積成美好的根基，預備將來，叫他們持定那真正的生命。

你們撒的種多，收的卻少；你們吃，卻不得飽；喝，卻不得足；穿衣服，卻不得暖；得工錢的，將工錢裝在破漏的囊中。」

他說這話，並不是掛念窮人，乃因他是個賊，又帶着錢囊，常取其中所存的。

嗐！你們這些富足人哪，應當哭泣、號咷，因為將有苦難臨到你們身上。你們的財物壞了，衣服也被蟲子咬了。你們的金銀都長了銹；那銹要證明你們的不是，又要吃你們的肉，如同火燒。你們在這末世只知積攢錢財。

只要把裏面的施捨給人，凡物於你們就都潔淨了。
