“那为自己积蓄财富而在神面前不富足的人，也是这样。”

他们变卖财产和产业，按照各人的需要分给大家。

他们当中没有一个缺乏的人，因为凡是拥有田产或房屋的人，都卖掉了那些东西，把所卖得的钱拿来，放在使徒们的脚前，按照各人的需要分给每个人。

“你们不要为自己在地上积蓄财宝，地上有虫蛀，会锈蚀，也有盗贼钻进来偷窃；而要为自己在天上积蓄财宝：天上既没有虫蛀，也不会锈蚀，也没有盗贼钻进来偷窃。要知道，你的财宝在哪里，你的心也在哪里。

我告诉你们：要藉着那不义的财富为自己结交朋友，这样当财富无用的时候，你们会被接到永恒的居所里。

在患难的极大考验中，他们的喜乐之满和贫穷之深都流露出来，归入他们慷慨之心的财富。

对那些今世富有的人，你当吩咐他们不可高傲自大，也不可把盼望寄托在靠不住的财富上，而要寄托在神身上，神把万物丰丰富富地赐给我们享受。你要吩咐他们常行美善，在美好行为上富足，慷慨施舍，乐意分享；为着那将要来临的，给自己积存美好的基础，使他们抓住那真正的生命。

他说这话，并不是因为顾念穷人，而是因为他是个贼。他管钱包，常常拿走其中所存的。

现在来吧，你们这些富有的人哪！应当为那些将要临到你们的惨祸而痛哭、哀号！你们的财富腐烂了；你们的衣服被虫蛀了；你们的金银也生锈了，这锈将成为控告你们的见证，又要像火那样吃你们的肉。在这末后的日子里，你们竟然积蓄财富！

不过你们当把里面的施舍给人，看哪，对你们来说一切就都洁净了。
