耶穌繼續對門徒說：「所以，我告訴你們，不要為生活憂慮，如吃什麼，也不要為身體憂慮，如穿什麼。

耶穌謂其徒曰、故我語汝、毋慮爾生何以食、身何以衣、

乃謂門徒曰、我告爾、勿為生命慮何以食、勿為身體慮何以衣、

乃顧謂其徒曰：『故予語爾、勿慮生何以食、身何以衣。

Then Jesus said to his disciples:“ Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat; or about your body, what you will wear.

And he said to his disciples,“ Therefore I tell you, do not be anxious about your life, what you will eat, nor about your body, what you will put on.

Then, turning to his disciples, Jesus said,“ That is why I tell you not to worry about everyday life— whether you have enough food to eat or enough clothes to wear.

Then he said to his disciples,“ Therefore I tell you, don’t worry about your life, what you will eat; or about the body, what you will wear.

And He said to His disciples,“ For this reason I tell you, do not worry about your life, as to what you are to eat; nor for your body, as to what you are to wear.

And he said unto his disciples, Therefore I say unto you, Be not anxious for your life, what ye shall eat; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on.

你們應該一無掛慮，凡事要藉著禱告和祈求，以感恩的心將你們的需要告訴上帝。

「所以我告訴你們，不要為生活憂慮，如吃什麼、喝什麼，也不要為身體憂慮，如穿什麼。難道生命不比飲食重要嗎？身體不比穿著重要嗎？「你們看天上的飛鳥，牠們不種，不收，也不在倉裡積存糧食，你們的天父尚且養活牠們，難道你們還不如飛鳥貴重嗎？你們誰能用憂慮使自己多活片刻呢？「何必為穿著憂慮呢？你們看看野地的百合花是如何生長的，它們既不勞苦，也不紡織。但我告訴你們，就連所羅門王最顯赫時的穿戴還不如一朵百合花！你們信心太小了！野地裡的草今天還在，明天就丟在爐中化為灰燼，上帝還這樣裝扮它們，何況你們呢？所以，你們不要憂慮『吃什麼？喝什麼？穿什麼？』因為這些都是外族人的追求，你們的天父知道你們的需要。「你們要先尋求上帝的國和祂的義，這一切都會賜給你們。所以，不要為明天憂慮，因為明天自有明天的憂慮，一天的難處一天擔就夠了。

不要貪愛錢財，要對自己擁有的知足，因為上帝說過：「我永不撇下你，也不離棄你。」

我希望你們無牽無掛。未婚的男子可以專心於主的事，想著怎樣討主的喜悅。
