But God said to him,‘ Fool! This night your soul is required of you, and the things you have prepared, whose will they be?’

神却对他说：‘无知的人哪，今夜必要你的灵魂；你所预备的要归谁呢？’

上帝却对他说：‘无知的人哪！今夜就要你的性命，你所预备的要归谁呢？’

神却对他说：‘无知的人哪！今夜就要你的性命，你所预备的要归谁呢？’

但上帝对他说，‘无知的人啊，今晚就要取走你的命！你所预备的一切留给谁享用呢？’”

神却对他说：‘无知的人哪，今天晚上，你的灵魂必被取去，你所预备的要归给谁呢？’

“可是神对他说：‘你这愚妄的人哪！今夜，他们就要召回你的灵魂了。那么，你所预备的要归谁呢？’

神卻對他說：『無知的人哪，今夜必要你的靈魂；你所預備的要歸誰呢？』

上帝卻對他說：『無知的人哪！今夜就要你的性命，你所預備的要歸誰呢？』

神卻對他說：『無知的人哪！今夜就要你的性命，你所預備的要歸誰呢？』

但上帝對他說，『無知的人啊！今晚就要取走你的命！你所預備的一切留給誰享用呢？』」

神卻對他說：‘無知的人哪，今天晚上，你的靈魂必被取去，你所預備的要歸給誰呢？’

但上帝卻對他說：「糊塗人哪，就在今天夜裏，你的財物就要要你的命了！你所豫備的、要歸誰呢？」

「可是神對他說：『你這愚妄的人哪！今夜，他們就要召回你的靈魂了。那麼，你所預備的要歸誰呢？』

惟上帝謂之曰、無知者乎、今夜將索爾靈、則所備者誰歸、

上帝曰、無知者乎、今夜將索爾魂、則所備者誰歸、

惟天主謂之曰、愚者乎、今夜將索爾靈、則所備者歸於誰、

詎天主謂之曰：「愚人、今夕欲索爾魂、爾之所備、將誰歸乎？」

“ But God said to him,‘ You fool! This very night your life will be demanded from you. Then who will get what you have prepared for yourself?’

“ But God said to him,‘ You foolish man! Tonight I will take your life away from you. Then who will get what you have prepared for yourself?’

“ But God said to him,‘ You fool! You will die this very night. Then who will get everything you worked for?’

“ But God said to him,‘ You fool! This very night your life is demanded of you. And the things you have prepared— whose will they be?’

But God said to him,‘ You fool! This very night your soul is demanded of you; and as for all that you have prepared, who will own it now?’

But God said to him,‘ Fool! This night your soul will be required of you; then whose will those things be which you have provided?’

But God said unto him, Thou foolish one, this night is thy soul required of thee; and the things which thou hast prepared, whose shall they be?

“ But God said to him,‘ You fool! This very night your life is demanded of you. And the things you have prepared— whose will they be?’

But God said unto him,[ Thou] fool, this night thy soul shall be required of thee: then whose shall those things be, which thou hast provided?

But God said to him,‘ You fool! This very night your life will be demanded back from you, but who will get what you have prepared for yourself?’

“ But God said to him,‘ You foolish one, tonight your soul is required of you. The things which you have prepared— whose will they be?’

Like the partridge that gathers a brood that she did not hatch, so is he who gets riches but not by justice; in the midst of his days they will leave him, and at his end he will be a fool.

Surely a man goes about as a shadow! Surely for nothing they are in turmoil; man heaps up wealth and does not know who will gather!

For what is the hope of the godless when God cuts him off, when God takes away his life?

for we brought nothing into the world, and we cannot take anything out of the world.

Though he heap up silver like dust, and pile up clothing like clay,he may pile it up, but the righteous will wear it, and the innocent will divide the silver.

You fools! Did not he who made the outside make the inside also?

But God will break you down forever; he will snatch and tear you from your tent; he will uproot you from the land of the living. SelahThe righteous shall see and fear, and shall laugh at him, saying,“ See the man who would not make God his refuge, but trusted in the abundance of his riches and sought refuge in his own destruction!”

For when he dies he will carry nothing away; his glory will not go down after him.For though, while he lives, he counts himself blessed— and though you get praise when you do well for yourself—his soul will go to the generation of his fathers, who will never again see light.

yet you do not know what tomorrow will bring. What is your life? For you are a mist that appears for a little time and then vanishes.

and those riches were lost in a bad venture. But before they had satisfied their craving, while the food was still in their mouths,

For they are like entangled thorns, like drunkards as they drink; they are consumed like stubble fully dried.

But if that wicked servant says to himself,‘ My master is delayed,’and begins to beat his fellow servants and eats and drinks with drunkards,the master of that servant will come on a day when he does not expect him and at an hour he does not knowand will cut him in pieces and put him with the hypocrites. While people are saying,“ There is peace and security,” then sudden destruction will come upon them as labor pains come upon a pregnant woman, and they will not escape.

But his servant Zimri, commander of half his chariots, conspired against him. King Belshazzar made a great feast for a thousand of his lords and drank wine in front of the thousand.Belshazzar, when he tasted the wine, commanded that the vessels of gold and of silver that Nebuchadnezzar his father had taken out of the temple in Jerusalem be brought, that the king and his lords, his wives, and his concubines might drink from them.Then they brought in the golden vessels that had been taken out of the temple, the house of God in Jerusalem, and the king and his lords, his wives, and his concubines drank from them.They drank wine and praised the gods of gold and silver, bronze, iron, wood, and stone.Immediately the fingers of a human hand appeared and wrote on the plaster of the wall of the king’s palace, opposite the lampstand. And the king saw the hand as it wrote.Then the king’s color changed, and his thoughts alarmed him; his limbs gave way, and his knees knocked together.

How they are destroyed in a moment, swept away utterly by terrors!

Riches do not profit in the day of wrath, but righteousness delivers from death.

And Abigail came to Nabal, and behold, he was holding a feast in his house, like the feast of a king. And Nabal’s heart was merry within him, for he was very drunk. So she told him nothing at all until the morning light.In the morning, when the wine had gone out of Nabal, his wife told him these things, and his heart died within him, and he became as a stone.And about ten days later the Lord struck Nabal, and he died.

Then Moses said to Aaron,“ Say to the whole congregation of the people of Israel,‘ Come near before the Lord, for he has heard your grumbling.’”And as soon as Aaron spoke to the whole congregation of the people of Israel, they looked toward the wilderness, and behold, the glory of the Lord appeared in the cloud.
