当人押你们到会堂，或到官员和当权者面前时，不要顾虑如何辩解，或说什么话，

人把你们拉到会堂、官长和当权者的面前，你们不要思虑怎样申辩或说什么话。

当他们把你们带到会堂，或带到统治者和掌权者面前的时候，不要忧虑怎样申辩或说什么。

人曳爾至會堂、及執政秉鈞者前、勿慮將如之何、何以訴、何以言、

人曳爾至會堂及執政秉權者前、勿慮將如何伸訴、何以伸訴、何以言、

人曳爾至會堂、或有司之前、毋庸鰓鰓過慮、其何以辯護、如何措詞、

“ When you are brought before synagogues, rulers and authorities, do not worry about how you will defend yourselves or what you will say,

“ You will be brought before synagogues, rulers and authorities. But do not worry about how to stand up for yourselves or what to say.

And when they bring you before the synagogues and the rulers and the authorities, do not be anxious about how you should defend yourself or what you should say,

“ And when you are brought to trial in the synagogues and before rulers and authorities, don’t worry about how to defend yourself or what to say,

Whenever they bring you before synagogues and rulers and authorities, don’t worry about how you should defend yourselves or what you should say.

Now when they bring you before the synagogues and the officials and the authorities, do not worry about how or what you are to speak in your defense, or what you are to say;

“ Now when they bring you to the synagogues and magistrates and authorities, do not worry about how or what you should answer, or what you should say.

And when they bring you before the synagogues, and the rulers, and the authorities, be not anxious how or what ye shall answer, or what ye shall say:

Whenever they bring you before synagogues and rulers and authorities, don’t worry about how you should defend yourselves or what you should say.

And when they bring you unto the synagogues, and[ unto] magistrates, and powers, take ye no thought how or what thing ye shall answer, or what ye shall say:

But when they bring you before the synagogues, the rulers, and the authorities, do not worry about how you should make your defense or what you should say,

When they bring you before the synagogues, the rulers, and the authorities, don’t be anxious how or what you will answer, or what you will say;

Be on your guard; you will be handed over to the local councils and be flogged in the synagogues.On my account you will be brought before governors and kings as witnesses to them and to the Gentiles.But when they arrest you, do not worry about what to say or how to say it. At that time you will be given what to say,for it will not be you speaking, but the Spirit of your Father speaking through you. (niv)

The next day the rulers, the elders and the teachers of the law met in Jerusalem.Annas the high priest was there, and so were Caiaphas, John, Alexander and others of the high priest’s family.They had Peter and John brought before them and began to question them:“ By what power or what name did you do this?” (niv)

“ You must be on your guard. You will be handed over to the local councils and flogged in the synagogues. On account of me you will stand before governors and kings as witnesses to them.And the gospel must first be preached to all nations.Whenever you are arrested and brought to trial, do not worry beforehand about what to say. Just say whatever is given you at the time, for it is not you speaking, but the Holy Spirit. (niv)

“ But before all this, they will seize you and persecute you. They will hand you over to synagogues and put you in prison, and you will be brought before kings and governors, and all on account of my name.And so you will bear testimony to me.But make up your mind not to worry beforehand how you will defend yourselves. (niv)

Therefore I am sending you prophets and sages and teachers. Some of them you will kill and crucify; others you will flog in your synagogues and pursue from town to town. (niv)

Then Jesus said to his disciples:“ Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat; or about your body, what you will wear. (niv)

The apostles were brought in and made to appear before the Sanhedrin to be questioned by the high priest.“ We gave you strict orders not to teach in this name,” he said.“ Yet you have filled Jerusalem with your teaching and are determined to make us guilty of this man’s blood.”Peter and the other apostles replied:“ We must obey God rather than human beings!The God of our ancestors raised Jesus from the dead— whom you killed by hanging him on a cross.God exalted him to his own right hand as Prince and Savior that he might bring Israel to repentance and forgive their sins.We are witnesses of these things, and so is the Holy Spirit, whom God has given to those who obey him.” (niv)

Opposition arose, however, from members of the Synagogue of the Freedmen( as it was called)— Jews of Cyrene and Alexandria as well as the provinces of Cilicia and Asia— who began to argue with Stephen.But they could not stand up against the wisdom the Spirit gave him as he spoke.Then they secretly persuaded some men to say,“ We have heard Stephen speak blasphemous words against Moses and against God.”So they stirred up the people and the elders and the teachers of the law. They seized Stephen and brought him before the Sanhedrin.They produced false witnesses, who testified,“ This fellow never stops speaking against this holy place and against the law.For we have heard him say that this Jesus of Nazareth will destroy this place and change the customs Moses handed down to us.”All who were sitting in the Sanhedrin looked intently at Stephen, and they saw that his face was like the face of an angel. (niv)
