I tell you, even though he will not get up and give you the bread because of friendship, yet because of your shameless audacity he will surely get up and give you as much as you need.

耶稣对他们讲一个比喻，论到人必须常常祈祷，不可灰心。他说：“某城里有一个法官，不惧怕神，也不尊敬人。那城里有一个寡妇，常常来到他那里，说：‘求你给我伸冤，使我脱离我的对头！’他多次不肯，后来心里说：‘我虽然不惧怕神，也不尊敬人，只是因为这寡妇常常来麻烦我，就给她伸冤吧，免得她不断地来缠扰我。’”主说：“你们听听这不义的法官所说的话吧。难道神不会为昼夜呼吁他的选民伸冤吗？难道神会耽误他们吗？我告诉你们，他要快快地给他们伸冤。然而人子来的时候，在世上找得到这种信心吗？”

那人说：“天快亮了，让我走吧。”雅各说：“如果你不给我祝福，我就不让你走。”

弟兄们，我靠着我们的主耶稣基督，凭着圣灵的慈爱，劝你们和我一同竭力为我向神祈祷，

有一个迦南的妇人从那地区出来，喊着说：“主啊，大卫的子孙，可怜我吧！我的女儿被鬼附得很苦。”耶稣一句话也不回答她。门徒上前求他说：“请叫她走吧，她一直跟在我们后面喊叫。”耶稣回答：“我被差遣，只是到以色列家的迷羊那里去。”她来跪在耶稣面前说：“主啊，求你帮助我！”耶稣回答：“拿儿女的饼丢给小狗吃是不好的。”她说：“主啊，是的，不过小狗也吃主人桌子上掉下来的碎渣。”于是耶稣对她说：“妇人，你的信心真大，照你所想的给你成就吧！”从那时起，她的女儿就好了。

以巴弗问候你们，他是你们那里的人，是基督耶稣的仆人；他祷告的时候，常常竭力为你们祈求，好使你们在神的一切旨意中完全站稳，满有坚定的信念。

为了这事，我曾经三次求主，使这根刺离开我。

我愿意你们知道，我为你们和在老底嘉的人，以及所有没有跟我见过面的人，是怎样竭力奋斗，
