But rather give alms of such things as you have; then indeed all things are clean to you.

爾自以為吾取盤中之物、以分人、則無不潔矣、

惟盡力施濟、或作取盛於杯盤者以施於人則於爾無不潔矣、

第能心存慈善、施人以德、則物之於爾、無不潔矣。

But now as for what is inside you— be generous to the poor, and everything will be clean for you.

Give freely to poor people to show what is inside you. Then everything will be clean for you.

But give as alms those things that are within, and behold, everything is clean for you.

So clean the inside by giving gifts to the poor, and you will be clean all over.

But give from what is within to the poor, and then everything is clean for you.

But give that which is within as a charitable gift, and then all things are clean for you.

But give for alms those things which are within; and behold, all things are clean unto you.

But give from what is within to the poor, and then everything is clean for you.

But rather give alms of such things as ye have; and, behold, all things are clean unto you.

But give from your heart to those in need, and then everything will be clean for you.

But give for gifts to the needy those things which are within, and behold, all things will be clean to you.

Sell what you have and give alms; provide yourselves money bags which do not grow old, a treasure in the heavens that does not fail, where no thief approaches nor moth destroys.

But do not forget to do good and to share, for with such sacrifices God is well pleased.

“ And I say to you, make friends for yourselves by unrighteous mammon, that when you fail, they may receive you into an everlasting home.

Pure and undefiled religion before God and the Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their trouble, and to keep oneself unspotted from the world.

To the pure all things are pure, but to those who are defiled and unbelieving nothing is pure; but even their mind and conscience are defiled.

He who oppresses the poor reproaches his Maker, But he who honors Him has mercy on the needy.

Therefore, O king, let my advice be acceptable to you; break off your sins by being righteous, and your iniquities by showing mercy to the poor. Perhaps there may be a lengthening of your prosperity.”

But as you abound in everything— in faith, in speech, in knowledge, in all diligence, and in your love for us— see that you abound in this grace also.I speak not by commandment, but I am testing the sincerity of your love by the diligence of others.For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though He was rich, yet for your sakes He became poor, that you through His poverty might become rich.

He who has pity on the poor lends to the Lord, And He will pay back what he has given.

Is it not to share your bread with the hungry, And that you bring to your house the poor who are cast out; When you see the naked, that you cover him, And not hide yourself from your own flesh?Then your light shall break forth like the morning, Your healing shall spring forth speedily, And your righteousness shall go before you; The glory of the Lord shall be your rear guard.Then you shall call, and the Lord will answer; You shall cry, and He will say,‘ Here I am.’“ If you take away the yoke from your midst, The pointing of the finger, and speaking wickedness,If you extend your soul to the hungry And satisfy the afflicted soul, Then your light shall dawn in the darkness, And your darkness shall be as the noonday.The Lord will guide you continually, And satisfy your soul in drought, And strengthen your bones; You shall be like a watered garden, And like a spring of water, whose waters do not fail.

And a voice spoke to him again the second time,“ What God has cleansed you must not call common.”

Blessed is he who considers the poor; The Lord will deliver him in time of trouble.

For God is not unjust to forget your work and labor of love which you have shown toward His name, in that you have ministered to the saints, and do minister.

Give to him who asks you, and from him who wants to borrow from you do not turn away.

So when Jesus heard these things, He said to him,“ You still lack one thing. Sell all that you have and distribute to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, follow Me.”

For if there is first a willing mind, it is accepted according to what one has, and not according to what he does not have.

At Joppa there was a certain disciple named Tabitha, which is translated Dorcas. This woman was full of good works and charitable deeds which she did.But it happened in those days that she became sick and died. When they had washed her, they laid her in an upper room.And since Lydda was near Joppa, and the disciples had heard that Peter was there, they sent two men to him, imploring him not to delay in coming to them.Then Peter arose and went with them. When he had come, they brought him to the upper room. And all the widows stood by him weeping, showing the tunics and garments which Dorcas had made while she was with them.

“ Take heed that you do not do your charitable deeds before men, to be seen by them. Otherwise you have no reward from your Father in heaven.Therefore, when you do a charitable deed, do not sound a trumpet before you as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may have glory from men. Assuredly, I say to you, they have their reward.But when you do a charitable deed, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing,that your charitable deed may be in secret; and your Father who sees in secret will Himself reward you openly.

Then He also said to him who invited Him,“ When you give a dinner or a supper, do not ask your friends, your brothers, your relatives, nor rich neighbors, lest they also invite you back, and you be repaid.But when you give a feast, invite the poor, the maimed, the lame, the blind.And you will be blessed, because they cannot repay you; for you shall be repaid at the resurrection of the just.”

Then the King will say to those on His right hand,‘ Come, you blessed of My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world:for I was hungry and you gave Me food; I was thirsty and you gave Me drink; I was a stranger and you took Me in;I was naked and you clothed Me; I was sick and you visited Me; I was in prison and you came to Me.’“ Then the righteous will answer Him, saying,‘ Lord, when did we see You hungry and feed You, or thirsty and give You drink?When did we see You a stranger and take You in, or naked and clothe You?Or when did we see You sick, or in prison, and come to You?’And the King will answer and say to them,‘ Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these My brethren, you did it to Me.’

He has dispersed abroad, He has given to the poor; His righteousness endures forever; His horn will be exalted with honor.

But this I say: He who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and he who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully.So let each one give as he purposes in his heart, not grudgingly or of necessity; for God loves a cheerful giver.And God is able to make all grace abound toward you, that you, always having all sufficiency in all things, may have an abundance for every good work.As it is written:“ He has dispersed abroad, He has given to the poor; His righteousness endures forever.”Now may He who supplies seed to the sower, and bread for food, supply and multiply the seed you have sown and increase the fruits of your righteousness,while you are enriched in everything for all liberality, which causes thanksgiving through us to God.For the administration of this service not only supplies the needs of the saints, but also is abounding through many thanksgivings to God,while, through the proof of this ministry, they glorify God for the obedience of your confession to the gospel of Christ, and for your liberal sharing with them and all men,and by their prayer for you, who long for you because of the exceeding grace of God in you.Thanks be to God for His indescribable gift!

Then Zacchaeus stood and said to the Lord,“ Look, Lord, I give half of my goods to the poor; and if I have taken anything from anyone by false accusation, I restore fourfold.”

What does it profit, my brethren, if someone says he has faith but does not have works? Can faith save him?If a brother or sister is naked and destitute of daily food,and one of you says to them,“ Depart in peace, be warmed and filled,” but you do not give them the things which are needed for the body, what does it profit?

Cast your bread upon the waters, For you will find it after many days.Give a serving to seven, and also to eight, For you do not know what evil will be on the earth.

but you shall open your hand wide to him and willingly lend him sufficient for his need, whatever he needs.Beware lest there be a wicked thought in your heart, saying,‘ The seventh year, the year of release, is at hand,’ and your eye be evil against your poor brother and you give him nothing, and he cry out to the Lord against you, and it become sin among you.You shall surely give to him, and your heart should not be grieved when you give to him, because for this thing the Lord your God will bless you in all your works and in all to which you put your hand.

He also shall be my salvation, For a hypocrite could not come before Him.Listen carefully to my speech, And to my declaration with your ears.See now, I have prepared my case, I know that I shall be vindicated.Who is he who will contend with me? If now I hold my tongue, I perish.“ Only two things do not do to me, Then I will not hide myself from You:

Then the disciples, each according to his ability, determined to send relief to the brethren dwelling in Judea.

“ Now after many years I came to bring alms and offerings to my nation,

Let him who stole steal no longer, but rather let him labor, working with his hands what is good, that he may have something to give him who has need.

and said,‘ Cornelius, your prayer has been heard, and your alms are remembered in the sight of God.send therefore to Joppa and call Simon here, whose surname is Peter. He is lodging in the house of Simon, a tanner, by the sea. When he comes, he will speak to you.’

For every creature of God is good, and nothing is to be refused if it is received with thanksgiving;for it is sanctified by the word of God and prayer.

For you have the poor with you always, but Me you do not have always.

I know and am convinced by the Lord Jesus that there is nothing unclean of itself; but to him who considers anything to be unclean, to him it is unclean.Yet if your brother is grieved because of your food, you are no longer walking in love. Do not destroy with your food the one for whom Christ died.Therefore do not let your good be spoken of as evil;for the kingdom of God is not eating and drinking, but righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.For he who serves Christ in these things is acceptable to God and approved by men.
