第能心存慈善、施人以德、則物之於爾、無不潔矣。

But now as for what is inside you— be generous to the poor, and everything will be clean for you.

Give freely to poor people to show what is inside you. Then everything will be clean for you.

But give as alms those things that are within, and behold, everything is clean for you.

So clean the inside by giving gifts to the poor, and you will be clean all over.

Pure religion and undefiled before our God and Father is this, to visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep oneself unspotted from the world.

To the pure all things are pure: but to them that are defiled and unbelieving nothing is pure; but both their mind and their conscience are defiled.

He that oppresseth the poor reproacheth his Maker; But he that hath mercy on the needy honoreth him.

And a voice came unto him again the second time, What God hath cleansed, make not thou common.

Blessed is he that considereth the poor: Jehovah will deliver him in the day of evil.

for God is not unrighteous to forget your work and the love which ye showed toward his name, in that ye ministered unto the saints, and still do minister.

Give to him that asketh thee, and from him that would borrow of thee turn not thou away.

And when Jesus heard it, he said unto him, One thing thou lackest yet: sell all that thou hast, and distribute unto the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come, follow me.

Now there was at Joppa a certain disciple named Tabitha, which by interpretation is called Dorcas: this woman was full of good works and almsdeeds which she did.And it came to pass in those days, that she fell sick, and died: and when they had washed her, they laid her in an upper chamber.And as Lydda was nigh unto Joppa, the disciples, hearing that Peter was there, sent two men unto him, entreating him, Delay not to come on unto us.And Peter arose and went with them. And when he was come, they brought him into the upper chamber: and all the widows stood by him weeping, and showing the coats and garments which Dorcas made, while she was with them.

Take heed that ye do not your righteousness before men, to be seen of them: else ye have no reward with your Father who is in heaven.When therefore thou doest alms, sound not a trumpet before thee, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may have glory of men. Verily I say unto you, They have received their reward.But when thou doest alms, let not thy left hand know what thy right hand doeth:that thine alms may be in secret: and thy Father who seeth in secret shall recompense thee.

He hath dispersed, he hath given to the needy; His righteousness endureth for ever: His horn shall be exalted with honor.

And Zacchæus stood, and said unto the Lord, Behold, Lord, the half of my goods I give to the poor; and if I have wrongfully exacted aught of any man, I restore fourfold.

This also shall be my salvation, That a godless man shall not come before him.Hear diligently my speech, And let my declaration be in your ears.Behold now, I have set my cause in order; I know that I am righteous.Who is he that will contend with me? For then would I hold my peace and give up the ghost.Only do not two things unto me; Then will I not hide myself from thy face:

And the disciples, every man according to his ability, determined to send relief unto the brethren that dwelt in Judæa:

Now after some years I came to bring alms to my nation, and offerings:

Let him that stole steal no more: but rather let him labor, working with his hands the thing that is good, that he may have whereof to give to him that hath need.

and saith, Cornelius, thy prayer is heard, and thine alms are had in remembrance in the sight of God.Send therefore to Joppa, and call unto thee Simon, who is surnamed Peter; he lodgeth in the house of Simon a tanner, by the sea side.

For every creature of God is good, and nothing is to be rejected, if it be received with thanksgiving:for it is sanctified through the word of God and prayer.

For ye have the poor always with you; but me ye have not always.

I know, and am persuaded in the Lord Jesus, that nothing is unclean of itself: save that to him who accounteth anything to be unclean, to him it is unclean.For if because of meat thy brother is grieved, thou walkest no longer in love. Destroy not with thy meat him for whom Christ died.Let not then your good be evil spoken of:for the kingdom of God is not eating and drinking, but righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.For he that herein serveth Christ is well- pleasing to God, and approved of men.
