若爾全身有光、無一毫之暗、則其光純全、似燈光焰照爾、○

果能清明在躬、絲毫不昧、則光明瑩徹、正如燈火之輝煌照爾矣。』

Suppose your whole body is full of light. And suppose no part of it is dark. Then your body will be full of light. It will be just as when a lamp shines its light on you.”

If then your whole body is full of light, having no part dark, it will be wholly bright, as when a lamp with its rays gives you light.”

If you are filled with light, with no dark corners, then your whole life will be radiant, as though a floodlight were filling you with light.”

If, therefore, your whole body is full of light, with no part of it in darkness, it will be entirely illuminated, as when a lamp shines its light on you.”

Therefore if your whole body is full of light, without any dark part, it will be wholly illuminated, as when the lamp illuminates you with its light.”

If then your whole body is full of light, having no part dark, the whole body will be full of light, as when the bright shining of a lamp gives you light.”

If therefore thy whole body be full of light, having no part dark, it shall be wholly full of light, as when the lamp with its bright shining doth give thee light.

If, therefore, your whole body is full of light, with no part of it in darkness, it will be entirely illuminated, as when a lamp shines its light on you.”

If thy whole body therefore[ be] full of light, having no part dark, the whole shall be full of light, as when the bright shining of a candle doth give thee light.

If then your whole body is full of light, with no part in the dark, it will be as full of light as when the light of a lamp shines on you.”

For this command is a lamp, this teaching is a light, and correction and instruction are the way to life,

The human spirit is the lamp of the Lord that sheds light on one’s inmost being.

Oh, how I love your law! I meditate on it all day long.Your commands are always with me and make me wiser than my enemies.I have more insight than all my teachers, for I meditate on your statutes.I have more understanding than the elders, for I obey your precepts.I have kept my feet from every evil path so that I might obey your word.I have not departed from your laws, for you yourself have taught me.How sweet are your words to my taste, sweeter than honey to my mouth!I gain understanding from your precepts; therefore I hate every wrong path.Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path.

For God, who said,“ Let light shine out of darkness,” made his light shine in our hearts to give us the light of the knowledge of God’s glory displayed in the face of Christ.

The path of the righteous is like the morning sun, shining ever brighter till the full light of day.But the way of the wicked is like deep darkness; they do not know what makes them stumble.

My son, if you accept my words and store up my commands within you,turning your ear to wisdom and applying your heart to understanding—indeed, if you call out for insight and cry aloud for understanding,and if you look for it as for silver and search for it as for hidden treasure,then you will understand the fear of the Lord and find the knowledge of God.For the Lord gives wisdom; from his mouth come knowledge and understanding.He holds success in store for the upright, he is a shield to those whose walk is blameless,for he guards the course of the just and protects the way of his faithful ones.Then you will understand what is right and just and fair— every good path.For wisdom will enter your heart, and knowledge will be pleasant to your soul.Discretion will protect you, and understanding will guard you.

Let the message of Christ dwell among you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom through psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit, singing to God with gratitude in your hearts.

But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and forever! Amen.

Consult God’s instruction and the testimony of warning. If anyone does not speak according to this word, they have no light of dawn.

and how from infancy you have known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus.All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness,so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.

But whoever looks intently into the perfect law that gives freedom, and continues in it— not forgetting what they have heard, but doing it— they will be blessed in what they do.

I will lead the blind by ways they have not known, along unfamiliar paths I will guide them; I will turn the darkness into light before them and make the rough places smooth. These are the things I will do; I will not forsake them.

“ Consider carefully what you hear,” he continued.“ With the measure you use, it will be measured to you— and even more.Whoever has will be given more; whoever does not have, even what they have will be taken from them.”

But solid food is for the mature, who by constant use have trained themselves to distinguish good from evil.

He replied,“ Because the knowledge of the secrets of the kingdom of heaven has been given to you, but not to them.Whoever has will be given more, and they will have an abundance. Whoever does not have, even what they have will be taken from them.

let the wise listen and add to their learning, and let the discerning get guidance—

He said to them,“ Therefore every teacher of the law who has become a disciple in the kingdom of heaven is like the owner of a house who brings out of his storeroom new treasures as well as old.”

Then we will no longer be infants, tossed back and forth by the waves, and blown here and there by every wind of teaching and by the cunning and craftiness of people in their deceitful scheming.

Let us acknowledge the Lord; let us press on to acknowledge him. As surely as the sun rises, he will appear; he will come to us like the winter rains, like the spring rains that water the earth.”
