If thy whole body therefore[ be] full of light, having no part dark, the whole shall be full of light, as when the bright shining of a candle doth give thee light.

果能清明在躬、絲毫不昧、則光明瑩徹、正如燈火之輝煌照爾矣。』

Therefore, if your whole body is full of light, and no part of it dark, it will be just as full of light as when a lamp shines its light on you.”

Suppose your whole body is full of light. And suppose no part of it is dark. Then your body will be full of light. It will be just as when a lamp shines its light on you.”

If then your whole body is full of light, having no part dark, it will be wholly bright, as when a lamp with its rays gives you light.”

If you are filled with light, with no dark corners, then your whole life will be radiant, as though a floodlight were filling you with light.”

If, therefore, your whole body is full of light, with no part of it in darkness, it will be entirely illuminated, as when a lamp shines its light on you.”

Therefore if your whole body is full of light, without any dark part, it will be wholly illuminated, as when the lamp illuminates you with its light.”

For the commandment[ is] a lamp; and the law[ is] light; and reproofs of instruction[ are] the way of life:

The spirit of man[ is] the candle of the LORD, searching all the inward parts of the belly.

MEM. O how love I thy law! it[ is] my meditation all the day.Thou through thy commandments hast made me wiser than mine enemies: for they[ are] ever with me.I have more understanding than all my teachers: for thy testimonies[ are] my meditation.I understand more than the ancients, because I keep thy precepts.I have refrained my feet from every evil way, that I might keep thy word.I have not departed from thy judgments: for thou hast taught me.How sweet are thy words unto my taste![ yea, sweeter] than honey to my mouth!Through thy precepts I get understanding: therefore I hate every false way.NUN. Thy word[ is] a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.

For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to[ give] the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.

But the path of the just[ is] as the shining light, that shineth more and more unto the perfect day.The way of the wicked[ is] as darkness: they know not at what they stumble.

My son, if thou wilt receive my words, and hide my commandments with thee;So that thou incline thine ear unto wisdom,[ and] apply thine heart to understanding;Yea, if thou criest after knowledge,[ and] liftest up thy voice for understanding;If thou seekest her as silver, and searchest for her as[ for] hid treasures;Then shalt thou understand the fear of the LORD, and find the knowledge of God.For the LORD giveth wisdom: out of his mouth[ cometh] knowledge and understanding.He layeth up sound wisdom for the righteous:[ he is] a buckler to them that walk uprightly.He keepeth the paths of judgment, and preserveth the way of his saints.Then shalt thou understand righteousness, and judgment, and equity;[ yea], every good path.When wisdom entereth into thine heart, and knowledge is pleasant unto thy soul;Discretion shall preserve thee, understanding shall keep thee:

Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.

But grow in grace, and[ in] the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him[ be] glory both now and for ever. Amen.

To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word,[ it is] because[ there is] no light in them.

And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.All scripture[ is] given by inspiration of God, and[ is] profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.

But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth[ therein], he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed.

And I will bring the blind by a way[ that] they knew not; I will lead them in paths[ that] they have not known: I will make darkness light before them, and crooked things straight. These things will I do unto them, and not forsake them.

And he said unto them, Take heed what ye hear: with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you: and unto you that hear shall more be given.For he that hath, to him shall be given: and he that hath not, from him shall be taken even that which he hath.

But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age,[ even] those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.

He answered and said unto them, Because it is given unto you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it is not given.For whosoever hath, to him shall be given, and he shall have more abundance: but whosoever hath not, from him shall be taken away even that he hath.

A wise[ man] will hear, and will increase learning; and a man of understanding shall attain unto wise counsels:

Then said he unto them, Therefore every scribe[ which is] instructed unto the kingdom of heaven is like unto a man[ that is] an householder, which bringeth forth out of his treasure[ things] new and old.

That we[ henceforth] be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men,[ and] cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive;

Then shall we know,[ if] we follow on to know the LORD: his going forth is prepared as the morning; and he shall come unto us as the rain, as the latter[ and] former rain unto the earth.
