即世之上帝、惑不信者心、使肖上帝之基督福音之榮、不光照焉、

求吾主耶穌基督之上帝、即榮耀之父、賜爾以智慧、默示之神、使爾識主、

俾明厥目、轉暗為光、離撒但勢、歸於上帝、使眾信我、可得罪赦、同獲聖徒之業、

經云、上帝任其昏昧、目不見、耳不聞、至於今日、大闢曰、厥席成機檻以陷之、為礙石以罰之、厥目矇而勿見、厥背屈而不伸、

爾有目不視、有耳不聽、亦不憶乎、

曰不智之徒、無慧者流、有目而不見、有耳而不聞、宜聽斯言。

僕當萬事順其主、勿效取悅於人者、第目前服役、必誠心畏上帝、

惡者之至、藉撒但力、其妙用異跡奇事、無非偽為、詭詐百出、自棄者為所惑、蓋彼不願受真理致得救、為此、上帝任其大謬、信諸誑言、使不信真理、悅不義者、悉定厥罪、

故彼目視而不明、耳聞而不悟、不克遷改而得罪赦、

我非恃人智、恃上帝恩、以上帝所賦之丹心誠意、往來於世、在爾間為尤甚、此我所喜、心所證也、

上帝僕之從者、夙興而出、見車騎軍旅、環繞城垣、乃曰、哀哉、我主與、我儕將若何。曰、毋畏、助我者、較助彼者眾。以利沙禱曰、求耶和華明其目、使能得見。耶和華遂明少者之目、俾其得見、以利沙所居之山岡、車騎四集、似火炎炎。敵既至、以利沙禱耶和華曰、請使此民、目眯不明。敵遂目眯、應以利沙所求。以利沙謂之曰、此非其途、此非其城、爾當從我、爾所求之人、我導爾至其地。遂導之至撒馬利亞。入城以利沙曰、願耶和華明斯眾之目、俾其得見。耶和華遂明其目、使得見、乃知在撒馬利亞邑中。

爾雖為我耶和華所遣之僕、所愛之民、無如爾聾爾瞽、甚於諸人、

貪婪之人、惟圖富有、不知貧乏將至。

蓋耶和華使爾閉目酣睡、民長先知、均蔽厥心、

維彼不識不知、其目若塗以泥、其心不明、

貪婪、惡毒、詭騙、邪侈、疾視、訕謗、驕傲、狂悖、

日日一心在殿、家擘其餅、以歡以誠而食、

余任其桀驁、聽其縱欲兮。

今主譴爾、爾必瞽、暫不見日、巫目即矇而暗、遍求人相之、

任斯民心頑、耳聾、目瞶、免其目視耳聽心悟、遷改而得醫焉、

使眾於門外、自老迄幼、目眯不明、索門不得。○
