In their case, the god of this age has blinded the minds of the unbelievers so they cannot see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God.

I pray that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, would give you a spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him.

to open their eyes so they may turn from darkness to light and from the power of Satan to God, that by faith in Me they may receive forgiveness of sins and a share among those who are sanctified.’

as it is written: God gave them a spirit of insensitivity, eyes that cannot see and ears that cannot hear, to this day.And David says: Let their feasting become a snare and a trap, a pitfall and a retribution to them.Let their eyes be darkened so they cannot see, and their backs be bent continually.

Do you have eyes, and not see, and do you have ears, and not hear? And do you not remember?

Hear this, you foolish and senseless people. They have eyes, but they don’t see. They have ears, but they don’t hear.

Slaves, obey your human masters in everything. Don’t work only while being watched, in order to please men, but work wholeheartedly, fearing the Lord.

The coming of the lawless one is based on Satan’s working, with all kinds of false miracles, signs, and wonders,and with every unrighteous deception among those who are perishing. They perish because they did not accept the love of the truth in order to be saved.For this reason God sends them a strong delusion so that they will believe what is false,so that all will be condemned— those who did not believe the truth but enjoyed unrighteousness.

so that they may look and look, yet not perceive; they may listen and listen, yet not understand; otherwise, they might turn back— and be forgiven.”

For this is our confidence: The testimony of our conscience is that we have conducted ourselves in the world, and especially toward you, with God-given sincerity and purity, not by fleshly wisdom but by God’s grace.

When the servant of the man of God got up early and went out, he discovered an army with horses and chariots surrounding the city. So he asked Elisha,“ Oh, my master, what are we to do?”Elisha said,“ Don’t be afraid, for those who are with us outnumber those who are with them.”Then Elisha prayed,“ Lord, please open his eyes and let him see.” So the Lord opened the servant’s eyes. He looked and saw that the mountain was covered with horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha.When the Arameans came against him, Elisha prayed to the Lord,“ Please strike this nation with blindness.” So He struck them with blindness, according to Elisha’s word.Then Elisha said to them,“ This is not the way, and this is not the city. Follow me, and I will take you to the man you’re looking for.” And he led them to Samaria.When they entered Samaria, Elisha said,“ Lord, open these men’s eyes and let them see.” So the Lord opened their eyes. They looked and discovered they were in Samaria.

Who is blind but My servant, or deaf like My messenger I am sending? Who is blind like My dedicated one, or blind like the servant of the Lord?

A greedy man is in a hurry for wealth; he doesn’t know that poverty will come to him.

For the Lord has poured out on you an overwhelming urge to sleep; He has shut your eyes— the prophets, and covered your heads— the seers.

Such people do not comprehend and cannot understand, for He has shut their eyes so they cannot see, and their minds so they cannot understand.

adulteries, greed, evil actions, deceit, promiscuity, stinginess, blasphemy, pride, and foolishness.

Dull the minds of these people; deafen their ears and blind their eyes; otherwise they might see with their eyes and hear with their ears, understand with their minds, turn back, and be healed.

They struck the men who were at the entrance of the house, both young and old, with a blinding light so that they were unable to find the entrance.
