Neither do you light a lamp, and put it under a measuring basket, but on a stand; and it shines to all who are in the house.Even so, let your light shine before men; that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father who is in heaven.

I have come as a light into the world, that whoever believes in me may not remain in the darkness.

that you may become blameless and harmless, children of God without defect in the middle of a crooked and perverse generation, among whom you are seen as lights in the world,holding up the word of life, that I may have something to boast in the day of Christ, that I didn’t run in vain nor labor in vain.

What I tell you in the darkness, speak in the light; and what you hear whispered in the ear, proclaim on the housetops.

Jesus answered,“ Aren’t there twelve hours of daylight? If a man walks in the day, he doesn’t stumble, because he sees the light of this world.
