耶稣又对他们说：“人拿灯来，岂是要放在斗底下，床底下，不放在灯台上吗？因为掩藏的事，没有不显出来的；隐瞒的事，没有不露出来的。

人点灯，不放在斗底下，是放在灯台上，就照亮一家的人。你们的光也当这样照在人前，叫他们看见你们的好行为，便将荣耀归给你们在天上的父。”

我到世上来，乃是光，叫凡信我的，不住在黑暗里。

使你们无可指摘，诚实无伪，在这弯曲悖谬的世代作神无瑕疵的儿女。你们显在这世代中，好像明光照耀，将生命的道表明出来，叫我在基督的日子好夸我没有空跑，也没有徒劳。

我在暗中告诉你们的，你们要在明处说出来；你们耳中所听的，要在房上宣扬出来。

耶稣回答说：“白日不是有十二小时吗？人在白日走路，就不至跌倒，因为看见这世上的光。
