示巴女王听见所罗门因耶和华的名所得的名声，就来要用难题考问所罗门。她带着很多的随从来到耶路撒冷，有骆驼驮着香料、极多金子和宝石。她来到所罗门那里，向他提出心中所有的问题。所罗门回答了她所有的问题，没有一个问题太难，王不能向她解答的。示巴女王看见所罗门一切的智慧，和他所建造的宫殿，席上的食物，坐着的群臣，侍立的仆人，他们的服装，和他的司酒长，以及他在耶和华殿里所献的燔祭，就诧异得神不守舍。她对王说：“我在本国所听到的话，论到你的事和你的智慧是真的！我本来不信那些话，及至我来亲眼看见了，看哪，人所告诉我的还不到一半，你的智慧和你的福分超过我所听见的传闻。你的人是有福的！你这些仆人常侍立在你面前、听你智慧的话是有福的！耶和华—你的神是应当称颂的！他喜爱你，使你坐以色列的王位，因为他永远爱以色列，所以立你作王，使你秉公行义。”于是，示巴女王把一百二十他连得金子、极多的香料和宝石送给所罗门王；送来的香料，从来没有像示巴女王送给他的那么多。希兰的船只也从俄斐运了金子来，又从俄斐运了许多檀香木和宝石来。王用檀香木为耶和华的殿和王宫做栏杆，又为歌唱的人做琴瑟。以后再没有这样的檀香木运进来，也再没有人见过，直到如今。所罗门王除了照自己的厚意馈赠示巴女王之外，凡她所提出的一切要求，所罗门王都送给她。于是女王和她臣仆转回，到本国去了。

圣灵降在他身上，形状仿佛鸽子；又有声音从天上来，说：“你是我的爱子，我喜爱你。”

因有一婴孩为我们而生；有一子赐给我们。政权必担在他的肩头上；他名称为“奇妙策士、全能的神、永在的父、和平的君”。他的政权与平安必加增无穷。他必在大卫的宝座上治理他的国，以公平公义使国坚定稳固，从今直到永远。万军之耶和华的热心必成就这事。

因着信，挪亚既蒙神指示他未见的事，动了敬畏的心，造了方舟，使他全家得救。藉此他定了那世代的罪，自己也承受了那从信而来的义。

耶和华对我说：“背道的以色列比奸诈的犹大还显为义。

而且那本来未受割礼的，若能全守律法，岂不是要审判你这有仪文和割礼，竟违犯律法的人吗？

凡为攻击你而造的兵器必无效用；在审判时兴起用口舌攻击你的，你必驳倒他。这是耶和华仆人的产业，是他们从我所得的义；这是耶和华说的。

爱子是那看不见的神之像，是首生的，在一切被造的以先。因为万有都是在他里面造的，无论是天上的、地上的，能看见的、不能看见的，或是有权位的、统治的，或是执政的、掌权的，一概都是藉着他为着他造的。他在万有之先；万有也靠他而存在。他是身体（教会）的头；他是元始，是从死人中复活的首生者，好让他在万有中居首位。因为神喜欢使一切的丰盛在他里面居住，

有声音从云彩里出来，说：“这是我的儿子，我所拣选的。你们要听从他！”
