倘若他们因认识我们的主和救主耶稣基督而得以脱离世上的污秽，后来又被污秽缠住，被制伏，他们末后的景况就比先前更不好了。他们知道义路，竟背弃了传授给他们那神圣的诫命，倒不如不知道为妙。俗语说得好，这话正印证在他们身上了：“狗转过来吃自己所吐的；”又说：“猪洗净了，又回到烂泥里打滚。”

后来耶稣在圣殿里找到他，对他说：“你已经痊愈了，不要再犯罪，免得你的遭遇更坏。”

如果我们领受真理的知识以后仍故意犯罪，就不再有赎罪的祭物，惟有战战兢兢等候审判和那将吞灭众敌人的烈火了。任何人干犯摩西的律法，凭两个或三个证人，尚且必须处死，不得宽赦，更何况践踏上帝儿子的人，他们将那使他成圣之约的血当作不洁净，又亵慢施恩的圣灵的人，你们想，他不该受更严厉的惩罚吗？因为我们知道谁说：“伸冤在我，我必报应。”又说：“主要审判他的百姓。”落在永生上帝的手里真是可怕呀！

就去另带了七个比自己更恶的灵来，都进去住在那里。那人后来的景况比先前更坏了。这邪恶的世代也要如此。”

论到那些已经蒙了光照、尝过天恩的滋味、又于圣灵有份、并尝过上帝的话的美味，和来世权能的人，若再离弃真道，就不可能使他们重新懊悔了；因为他们亲自把上帝的儿子重钉十字架，公然羞辱他。

“你们这假冒为善的文士和法利赛人有祸了！因为你们走遍海洋陆地，说服一个人入教，既入了教，却使他成为比你们加倍坏的地狱之子。

并那些转去不跟从耶和华，不寻求耶和华，也不求问他的。”

这样的人是你们爱筵上的污点；他们无所惧怕地同你们宴乐，仿佛牧人只顾喂饱自己。他们是无雨的浮云，被风飘荡；是秋天没有果子的树，死而又死，连根被拔出来；是海里的狂浪，涌出自己可耻的沫子来；是流荡的星，有漆黑的幽暗永远为他们保留着。
