The unclean spirit, when he has gone out of the man, passes through dry places, seeking rest, and finding none, he says,‘ I will turn back to my house from which I came out.’

邪魔離人、游行旱地、求安而不得、乃曰、不如我仍歸所出之室、

邪魔既離人身、徘徊於無水之地、欲求安身之所而不可得、乃曰：「吾將返吾故宅。」

The last state of that man becomes worse than the first. Even so will it be also to this evil generation.”

God, you are my God. I will earnestly seek you. My soul thirsts for you. My flesh longs for you, in a dry and weary land, where there is no water.

Yahweh said to Satan,“ Where have you come from?” Satan answered Yahweh, and said,“ From going back and forth in the earth, and from walking up and down in it.”

Yahweh said to Satan,“ Where have you come from?” Then Satan answered Yahweh, and said,“ From going back and forth in the earth, and from walking up and down in it.”

When Jesus saw that a multitude came running together, he rebuked the unclean spirit, saying to him,“ You mute and deaf spirit, I command you, come out of him, and never enter him again!”

He begged him much that he would not send them away out of the country.

“ There is no peace”, says Yahweh,“ for the wicked.”

in which you once walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit who now works in the children of disobedience.

For I will pour water on him who is thirsty, and streams on the dry ground. I will pour my Spirit on your descendants, and my blessing on your offspring:

The burning sand will become a pool, and the thirsty ground springs of water. Grass with reeds and rushes will be in the habitation of jackals, where they lay.

The poor and needy seek water, and there is none. Their tongue fails for thirst. I, Yahweh, will answer them. I, the God of Israel, will not forsake them.I will open rivers on the bare heights, and springs in the middle of the valleys. I will make the wilderness a pool of water, and the dry land springs of water.I will put cedar, acacia, myrtle, and oil trees in the wilderness. I will set cypress trees, pine, and box trees together in the desert;

The wilderness and the dry land will be glad. The desert will rejoice and blossom like a rose.It will blossom abundantly, and rejoice even with joy and singing. Lebanon’s glory will be given to it, the excellence of Carmel and Sharon. They will see Yahweh’s glory, the excellence of our God.

But the wicked are like the troubled sea; for it can’t rest and its waters cast up mire and mud.“ There is no peace”, says my God,“ for the wicked.”

behold, I will put a fleece of wool on the threshing floor. If there is dew on the fleece only, and it is dry on all the ground, then I’ll know that you will save Israel by my hand, as you have spoken.”It was so; for he rose up early on the next day, and pressed the fleece together, and wrung the dew out of the fleece, a bowl full of water.Gideon said to God,“ Don’t let your anger be kindled against me, and I will speak but this once. Please let me make a trial just this once with the fleece. Let it now be dry only on the fleece, and on all the ground let there be dew.”God did so that night; for it was dry on the fleece only, and there was dew on all the ground.

For they don’t sleep unless they do evil. Their sleep is taken away, unless they make someone fall.

Then he said to me,“ These waters flow out toward the eastern region, and will go down into the Arabah. Then they will go toward the sea; and flow into the sea which will be made to flow out; and the waters will be healed.It will happen, that every living creature which swarms, in every place where the rivers come, will live. Then there will be a very great multitude of fish; for these waters have come there, and the waters of the sea will be healed, and everything will live wherever the river comes.It will happen, that fishermen will stand by it. From En Gedi even to En Eglaim will be a place for the spreading of nets. Their fish will be after their kinds, as the fish of the great sea, exceedingly many.But the miry places of it, and its marshes, will not be healed. They will be given up to salt.
