因此，我告訴你們，人的一切罪和褻瀆的話，都可以赦免；可是，褻瀆聖靈就得不著赦免。無論誰說話得罪了人子，還可以赦免；但說話得罪了聖靈的，今生來世都得不著赦免。“你們種好樹就結好果子，種壞樹就結壞果子；憑著果子就能認出樹來。毒蛇所生的啊，你們既然是邪惡的，怎能說出良善的話？因為心中所充滿的，口裡就說出來。

但耶穌說：“撒但，走開！經上記著：‘當拜主你的神，單要事奉他。’”

有人說：“他靠鬼王別西卜趕鬼。”

照樣，舌頭雖然是個小肢體，卻會說誇大的話。試看，星星之火，可以燎原；舌頭就是火，在我們百體中，是個不義的世界，能污穢全身，把整個生命在運轉中焚燒起來，而且是被地獄之火點燃的。各類飛禽、走獸、昆蟲、水族，都可以馴服，而且都已經被人類制伏了；可是沒有人能夠制伏舌頭；它是喋喋不休的惡物，充滿了致命的毒素。
