當下有一個被鬼附着、又瞎又啞的人被帶到耶穌跟前；耶穌治好了他，以致那啞巴能說話，也能看見。羣眾都驚奇說：『這難道是大衛的子孫麼？』法利賽人聽見了就說：『這個人趕鬼，無非是靠着鬼王別西卜罷了！』

他們出去了，就有人把一個被鬼附的啞巴帶到耶穌跟前來。鬼被趕出，啞巴就說出話來。羣眾都希奇說：『在以色列中從沒有見過這樣的事呀。』

有人帶着一個耳聾舌結的人來見耶穌，求他給他按手。耶穌暗暗地領他離開羣眾、到一邊去，就用指頭放進他的兩耳中，吐唾沫點觸他的舌頭，望天歎息，對他說：『以法大！』就是說：『敞開吧！』他的耳朵就開了，他舌頭的結立刻解放了，說話也清楚了。耶穌叮囑他們不要告訴人；但是他越叮囑他們，他們越宣傳。眾人分外地驚駭說：『各樣事他都作得好；居然使聾子能聽見，使不能說話的人也能說話了！』
