He welcomed us and treated us kindly for three days.As it happened, Publius’s father was ill with fever and dysentery. Paul went in and prayed for him, and laying his hands on him, he healed him.Then all the other sick people on the island came and were healed.As a result we were showered with honors, and when the time came to sail, people supplied us with everything we would need for the trip.

Then he sent them out to tell everyone about the Kingdom of God and to heal the sick.

One day the Pharisees asked Jesus,“ When will the Kingdom of God come?” Jesus replied,“ The Kingdom of God can’t be detected by visible signs.You won’t be able to say,‘ Here it is!’ or‘ It’s over there!’ For the Kingdom of God is already among you.”

So I want you to know that this salvation from God has also been offered to the Gentiles, and they will accept it.”

“ During the reigns of those kings, the God of heaven will set up a kingdom that will never be destroyed or conquered. It will crush all these kingdoms into nothingness, and it will stand forever.

From then on Jesus began to preach,“ Repent of your sins and turn to God, for the Kingdom of Heaven is near.”

Go and announce to them that the Kingdom of Heaven is near.Heal the sick, raise the dead, cure those with leprosy, and cast out demons. Give as freely as you have received!

Jesus said,“ How can I describe the Kingdom of God? What story should I use to illustrate it?

Jesus replied,“ I tell you the truth, unless you are born again, you cannot see the Kingdom of God.”

And they cast out many demons and healed many sick people, anointing them with olive oil.
