Now in the area around that place was an estate belonging to the leading man of the island, named Publius, who welcomed us and entertained us hospitably for three days.Publius’s father was in bed suffering from fever and dysentery. Paul went to him, and praying and laying his hands on him, he healed him.After this, the rest of those on the island who had diseases also came and were healed.So they heaped many honors on us, and when we sailed, they gave us what we needed.

Then he sent them to proclaim the kingdom of God and to heal the sick.

When he was asked by the Pharisees when the kingdom of God would come, he answered them,“ The kingdom of God is not coming with something observable;no one will say,‘ See here!’ or‘ There!’ For you see, the kingdom of God is in your midst.”

Therefore, let it be known to you that this salvation of God has been sent to the Gentiles; they will listen.”

“ In the days of those kings, the God of the heavens will set up a kingdom that will never be destroyed, and this kingdom will not be left to another people. It will crush all these kingdoms and bring them to an end, but will itself endure forever.

From then on Jesus began to preach,“ Repent, because the kingdom of heaven has come near.”

As you go, proclaim,‘ The kingdom of heaven has come near.’Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse those with leprosy, drive out demons. Freely you received, freely give.

And he said,“ With what can we compare the kingdom of God, or what parable can we use to describe it?

Jesus replied,“ Truly I tell you, unless someone is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.”

They drove out many demons, anointed many sick people with oil and healed them.
