因为无论在得救的人或在灭亡的人当中，我们都是基督馨香之气，是献给上帝的。对灭亡的人，这是死而又死的气味；对得救的人，这是生而又生的气味。这些事谁能当得起呢？

那时，你们在过犯罪恶中生活，随从今世的风俗，顺服空中掌权者的领袖，就是现今在悖逆的人心中运行的邪灵。我们从前也都生活在他们当中，放纵肉体的私欲，随着肉体和心中的意念去做，和别人一样，生来就是该受惩罚的人。

至于我，他们有病的时候，我穿麻衣，禁食，刻苦己心；我所求的都归到自己身上。

不要被人虚浮的话欺骗了，因这些事，上帝的愤怒必临到那些悖逆的人。

正义的果实是为促进和平的人用和平栽种出来的。

因有一婴孩为我们而生；有一子赐给我们。政权必担在他的肩头上；他名称为“奇妙策士、全能的上帝、永在的父、和平的君”。

现在，你当知道，看怎样做才好。不然，祸患必定临到我主人和他全家。他性情凶暴，无人敢与他说话。”

作为顺服的儿女，就不要效法从前蒙昧无知的时候那放纵私欲的样子。
