願賜平安的主親自隨時隨地賜平安給你們。願主與你們眾人同在。

因為無論在得救的人或滅亡的人中間，我們都是基督的馨香，是獻給神的。對於滅亡的人，這是死亡的氣味叫人死；對於得救的人，這卻是生命的香氣使人活。這些事誰夠資格作呢？

那時你們在過犯和罪惡中行事為人，隨著時代的潮流，也服從空中掌權的首領，就是現今在悖逆的人身上運行的靈。我們從前也都和他們在一起，放縱肉體的私慾，隨著肉體和心意所喜好的去行；我們與別人一樣，生來都是可怒的兒女。

至於我，他們有病的時候，我就穿上麻衣，禁食刻苦己心；我心裡也不住地禱告（“我心裡也不住地禱告”原文作“我的禱告都回到自己的懷中”）。

不要給別人用空言欺騙了你們，正因為這些事，神的震怒必定臨到那些悖逆的人。

這是締造和平的人，用和平所培植出來的義果。

因為有一個嬰孩為我們而生，有一個兒子賜給我們；政權必擔在他的肩頭上；他的名必稱為“奇妙的策士、全能的神、永恆的父、和平的君”。

現在，你要想一想，看看你該怎麼辦，因為災禍必定臨到我們的主人和他的全家。他是一個性情兇惡的人，沒有人敢對他說話。”

你們既是順服的兒女，就不要再效法從前無知的時候放縱私慾的生活。
