主回答她，說：「瑪妲，瑪妲，你為很多事憂慮、煩惱，

And Jesus answered and said to her,“ Martha, Martha, you are worried and troubled about many things.

But the Lord answered and said unto her, Martha, Martha, thou art anxious and troubled about many things:

And Jesus answered and said unto her, Martha, Martha, thou art careful and troubled about many things:

But the Lord answered her,“ Martha, Martha, you are worried and troubled about many things,

Jesus answered her,“ Martha, Martha, you are anxious and troubled about many things,

“ I tell you, do not worry. Don’t worry about your life and what you will eat or drink. And don’t worry about your body and what you will wear. Isn’t there more to life than eating? Aren’t there more important things for the body than clothes?Look at the birds of the air. They don’t plant or gather crops. They don’t put away crops in storerooms. But your Father who is in heaven feeds them. Aren’t you worth much more than they are?Can you add even one hour to your life by worrying?“ And why do you worry about clothes? See how the wild flowers grow. They don’t work or make clothing.But here is what I tell you. Not even Solomon in all his royal robes was dressed like one of these flowers.If that is how God dresses the wild grass, won’t he dress you even better? Your faith is so small! After all, the grass is here only today. Tomorrow it is thrown into the fire.So don’t worry. Don’t say,‘ What will we eat?’ Or,‘ What will we drink?’ Or,‘ What will we wear?’People who are ungodly run after all those things. Your Father who is in heaven knows that you need them.But put God’s kingdom first. Do what he wants you to do. Then all those things will also be given to you.So don’t worry about tomorrow. Tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.

Don’t worry about anything. No matter what happens, tell God about everything. Ask and pray, and give thanks to him.

The seed that fell among thorns stands for those who hear the message. But as they go on their way, they are choked by life’s worries, riches and pleasures. So they do not reach full growth.

But then the worries of this life come to them. Wealth comes with its false promises. The people also long for other things. All of these are the kinds of things that crowd out the message. They keep it from producing fruit.

Then Jesus spoke to his disciples. He said,“ I tell you, do not worry. Don’t worry about your life and what you will eat. And don’t worry about your body and what you will wear.

“ Be careful. If you aren’t, your hearts will be loaded down with wasteful living, drunkenness and the worries of life. Then the day the Son of Man returns will close on you like a trap. It will happen suddenly.

I don’t want you to have anything to worry about. A single man is concerned about the Lord’s matters. He wants to know how he can please the Lord.But a married man is concerned about the matters of this world. He wants to know how he can please his wife.His concerns pull him in two directions. A single woman or a virgin is concerned about the Lord’s matters. She wants to serve the Lord with both body and spirit. But a married woman is concerned about the matters of this world. She wants to know how she can please her husband.I’m saying those things for your own good. I’m not trying to hold you back. I want you to be free to live in a way that is right. I want you to give yourselves completely to the Lord.

The more words people use, the less meaning there is. And that doesn’t help anyone.
